Just a quick message mate, definitely won't make it as I thought but will be there for Spurs.

That's the key for me, Man Utd looked drained and confused last week as if LVG has been throwing too much info at them.
Changing formations during your first match of the season didn't look good tbh.

As it's a home match and our 'current form' against the big teams is excellent I'd have to hope for 3 points.
It's also our first home match and everyone should be up for it.

Watch out for a kid called Cattermole, has a hell of a shot and looks full of goals <laugh>

Can't see it mate, there's often a soft pen in this one for a start, one way or the other ;)

There's just no fear to playing United now, but as an aside, you still get a massive buzz from the crowd, it's double in favor of the oppo (the well supported oppo at least...).

I'll be very disappointed if we lose, put it that way.

Although the change was forced on us, I think it was naive to start Lingaard as a WB on his first game anyhow. LVG is still learning as well, he's only had a few weeks with the lads so far so I'd give him the benefit of the doubt for that, not that he'd care what I'd give him!

Cattermole's goal was naughty mind, he's threatened with that in the past and come close a few times, if I remember correctly.

Rooney's in a decent bit of form, think he'll get one actually. Be **** if there's no goals for United!

I'd almost wriggled out of that appointment I mentioned when one of my sons, who've met, invited me round.

He to watch the League Cup Final, which we've only seen live then the Man Utd match.

It just swung the balance and there'll be plenty of other games <ok>

That's true mate, I just think LVG has a lot more about him than Moyesie in terms of getting the players fired up. When you watch speeches like this, you can tell he's a proper mad fooker. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inhLp3FQdZY

There's no way of knowing how the United players will respond to his style of management, we'll find out on Sunday I guess.

LVG would fill it with bricks and drop it from 3 metres up, based on that other video clip. He does look pretty f'in mad, like. No idea what's going on behind those eyes of his.....mostly coz his nose obscures 3/4 of his face..

Haha in fairness Ribery probably has that kind of look on his face every time he looks in the mirror!

The training videos posted and the DHL clips online seem to show the players are enjoying his style of training, but yeah he looks a bit mental. The guy's a winner, from my point of view I just hope he continues that streak at United. Nutter though!

He looks like some kind of dictator up there, I hope to see more of the same on Deansgate at some point culminating in him pissing on City fans as they attempt to squeeze through the crowd.

Not the first time a charismatic foreigner has whipped a crowd into a frenzy with a speech in Bavaria.

Would take a scrappy 1-0 win now

Would be happy with anything more than that ;)

In contrast, although I'd settle for a 1-0 scrappy win, I doubt it would do much for the doom and gloom crew saying United are finished...

"United SCRAPED a 1-0 away win at league two certainties Sumderland who scuppered numerous chances that could have seen Van Gaal SACKED on the spot" - that'd be the headline.

LVG really could do with a barrage of goals for and a complete shut-out at the other end.

Sums it up, a draw will not be a disaster for us, but it would for your team at this moment, and I think this could well be a low score draw.
