I think most of them care, they're just not very good and get demoralised, which might give the impression they don't care. If the manager is the problem who is the manager... Hock or cellino.

I find myself defending the hock on here. Not because I rate him, but because he seems the easy option to blame. Without mccormack's goals many of which were self made, we were a bottom of the table side last year. We lived off across every game and took some hidings. But a lot of people didn't think it was McDermott's fault. Off the field distractions etc. Now we have that same team without its goal scorer and with a smattering of low cost signings, trying to play a new formation... Let's face it the old one didn't work... And it's the coaches fault we have only 1 win in 3 and look rubbish. Hey, I'm not saying someone else couldn't do better, but blame the guy who hired him for a) the signings, b, the formation, c for hiring him in the first place.

But no, cellino's a legend and hock's a w*nker so we'll take the easy target.

And that's not a pop at cellino, he's trying to build a new side. He may or may not have the right strategy but, Whichever it takes time.

Antenucci and Agard are strikers mainly (especially Antenucci) so I don't think it is more balanced, its still playing players out of position.

I hear you milky, but I honestly feel Hock is not good for us ... here's an example: Millwall were dead and buried last season, in comes Holloway and there is a transformation, they avoid relegation and go on a run ... this season they have mostly the same players, and they're flying, battling away and getting results, why? The players, same **** as last season, believe in their manager and play for him because they understand what he's trying to do ... same can be said for Palace and Pulis, if ever there was a team destined for relegation it was them, yet the same pile of **** underwent a metamorphasis and finished a highly respectable 11th ... now look at Fulham, quality players but a cnut for a manager, players don't believe in him or his hardline methods and they are struggling and in danger of imploding completely ... I understand you defending Hock, but he is more of a problem than a solution and probably always will be unfortuantely

Holloway ... promotion winning manager who the Millwall players look up to

Pulis ... very experienced Prem manager the Palace players looked up to

Hock ... fcuked up at Forest Green Rovers, a level waaaaay below the Championship, who the hell will genuinely look up to him?

Zan Benedicic - We were all getting excited about signing him, he was being named in our line-ups and how great we were going to be with him. Apparently he is lacking match fitness so maybe he will become good, the jury is out.

Mirco Antenucci - Fans hoping he signs and putting him straight into a starting line-up hoping our fortunes will change when he joins, in reality he is a 30 year old striker who plays in Serie B and who seems to have spent nearly his entire career out on loan.

Agard - Rotherham want to keep him, Leeds want him but don't think he is worth much in the wage department and Bristol City want him, is he the answer, why don't more teams want him?

I am happy to give all these players a chance when and if they sign for us but why are so many fans seeing these names and thinking they are going to be the answer for us.

Someone the other day said Cooper will be in the Championship team of the season after his first appearance for us then by all accounts he was average yesterday.

We have signed just one proven player at this level, we really do need to keep more grounded about the players we are bringing in, just my opinion <ok>

Completely agree with most of what you are saying, I do think if we sign Agard he will turn inot a great signing. A sense of Gradel about that boy if you've ever watched him and genuinely knows where the back of the net is.

But in all honesty, poor managers don't get good teams promoted. It just doesn't happen and I can't recall it ever happening. I do however recall great managers getting poor teams promoted. You need to build your club around your manager, its the only way. I really am trying not to condemn the Hock, and I've only personally seen one game this season in what was apparently our best performance by far against middlesborough and there were a lot of problems in that performance I thought. We seem to just keep signing more players to try and fix it but imho. the players that are at the club can perform to a reasonable level, its just weird decisions being made around them.

Great post Josh ... here's the thing, last season come January we were one point off the playoffs with that rubbish squad ... to get there we needed to be consistent and delivering points, so not a fluke ... then GFH kicked off because they were broke and McD lost his way in all the turmoil, and suddenly our team seemed to simply give up ... so, even with the dross McD at the halfway stage had somehow managed to get us into the mix ... yes, the implosion in the second half was spectacular, starting with Rochdale, but it proves your point about getting the best out of your resources

Dyche, Maclaren, Big Sam, Bruce, Martinez are all great coaches who got crap teams promoted so 100% correct. No money just talent and a belief in the way to play that gets the best out of what you have and as a unit together. Sorry but Hock will never do it
