    They have now admitted the extent of that heartbreak <laugh>

    Will Stevie say sorry to the RS fans for breaking their hearts? For getting them to celebrate too early before actually winning the title.

    He doesn't need to say sorry to me as he has given me a great summer, with the RS still far far away from that first premiership title. <laugh>

    Yes because finishing 20th and being relegated is as bad as finishing 2nd <doh>. I'd say its not better than finishing 4th but then there is a radical change for the clubs financial situation.

    With the financial might of the premiership and the (relatively) equitable distribution of TV monies amongst the clubs, the total revenue obtained by a premiership club reaching the KO stages of the CL is not much higher than a premiership club constantly on TV (like Spurs/United) not playing in the CL.

    Premiership income>>>>>CL income
