Only just realised that my passport has expired. Haven't needed it lately due to on-going problems with trapped nerve and severe cramps down left hand side which has precluded me from going offshore. However, been looking into working somewhere like Saudi so a passport is essential. Doesn't 46thChromosome work there? Or am I speaking twaddle? Think I'll apply on-line, looks fairly straightforward enough. Anyone done this before?? Yet another ****ty picture.

Well i would hope they neevr did tell you about my paternal issues on the phone ER - i'm all for transparency but there are limits! Check the passport form - it deffo says you need a birth certificate number. You can order it on line for a tenner though.
Aye, birth certificate - imagine having to prove that you were born? Labour had the right idea with the National ID cards - I used to love my Maltese ID card, could travel around the EU (but not UK and Ireland) without a Passport, the thing just stayed in your wallet with your debit cards, never had to produce 3 forms of ID to open a bank account or subscribe to a mobile phone contract - what's more invasive, having to bring your passport with you in case some **** head bouncer claims you look under 25 or having a wee card? Tory ****s.
I lost my passport when I lived in London the day before I was due to fly out,****ing nightmare but embassy gave me new in a day as long you have proof of flight etc Another time renewing my passport couldn't get any one to sign my form; doctor (didn't have one) cops/judge/magistrate (didn't know me) dentist (had moved) bank manager (never met me cos was paid straight into bank and never borrowed) ****ing nightmare. ps Mick depends who you're flying with,Ryanair look for one
I don't think you do Dan, I never needed one when i renewed. And I'm talking about a British passport and not some African country before anyone starts.
Very easy Trev and you do not need a copy of your birth certificate folks!! Print out the application form and on the last page they give examples of photographs that should be sent. Spot the token ragheid.
