The Chairboys hope to continue their impressive start to the season when another relegated team visit Adams Park, the team from The Wirral nearly picked up their first win of the season on Saturday, but 2 late goals condemned them to defeat. With no new injury concerns Gaz looks to name an unchanged team for the 4th consecutive game but Rowe will be looking for a start and StuLew and Josh hoping to get some action who would have thought we could be doing so well without the latter but letâs hope he gets some minutes soon. This is another game I will be missing (bloody night shifts) but all being well I will be going on Saturday hoping to see us topping the league
Agree with a 1-1 draw Ron which would mean only another 44 points for safety. I'd make one change Scowen for Max.
No changes 01 Ingram 02 Jombati 26 Mawson 03 Jacobson 06 Pierre 15 Murphy 22 Kretzschmar 07 Cowan-Hall 11 Wood 19 McClure 09 Hayes Substitutes 08 Lewis 10 Bloomfield 12 Craig 13 Richardson 18 Rowe 23 Walker 25 Amadi-Holloway
Just got back and missed it. We had 10 shots (5 on target) to their 5 (3 on target) and 6 corners to their 2. Sounds like we were at least going for it.
I've been told by Blue Soldier we played well but the ball didn't fall for us and their keeper was man of the match also Max Power stood out for them
Sorry for jinxing you guys at the weekend - I will contain my excitement in future when you are going well
it just didn't quite fall for us tonight, on another day against a more average keeper we could easily have taken a point. For me there were 3 main issues tonight - central midfield went totally missing - murphy was poor and kretch had the worst game I can remember him having in a wwfc shirt, really felt for him! - the attack came down the right side far too often and became predictable and easily delt with - as soon as they finally started playing in Sammy wood on the left we looked more dangerous - ball was in the air too much - we are far more dangerous with it on the ground for Saturday I think freshening up the central midfield would be a good idea, and id start craig for the anonymous McClure to give us something else upfront
4 games in 11 day with an unchanged line up was a big ask but with a small squad it leaves little room for change I hope Josh is back for Saturday Rowe may come in swap Craig with McClure is a good one as the anti football bully boy tactics used by Wesley having as much experience out there will be vital
