Hey, Brendan picks Johnson, Lucas and Gerrard so i am sure we could get away with Cleverley or Fellaini
Maybe wishful thinking- but now Moreno has joined, Man Quill is looking good too... once Enrique and Flan get back to full health I'm hoping we see very little of Mr. Johnson. Lucas, there are still rumours floating about him and Napoli. He was always Rafa's love-child, so I wouldn't be surprised if Rodgers sells him so that his own love-child, Allen can get more time. Gerrard will probably see quite a bit of action. He still produces the goods occasionally, but can be a liability. Hoping Can picks up from him once he is fully integrated.
But......... surely you know more about utd than astro or do you spend too much time munching prawns #stereotype
The problem with this team is it has no pace in it. Utd have always been renowned for counter attacking play and I just cant see this team being quick enough to play that way, also the defence is pants! Utd have the same problem now that Liverpool had a few years ago at the end of Rafa's tenure, trying to sign good players without paying the big money. What you end up with is paying a lot for a decent team with players that aren't at the top level. These days in football you either have to spend big and get the top players see City, Chelsea and even Arsenal or go for young talent and try and develop them like liverpool now, or like Utd used to see Ronaldo, Rooney.
Evans has won three league titles. Jones only the one. Skrtel nearly won one last season but his skipper choked. Carragher has a funny voice.
Raphael and Shaw have pace as does Herrera, with the three in midfield defence would not be too big a problem. We have about six youngsters ready to make the step up and i think you will see them quite often this season as subs and in cup games.
Didn't see the titles response coming, honest Even poor old Michael Owen wona league title medal with your former stars holding his hand
Do you feel slightly sad that a team involving Lucas & Johnson finished above you last year Just imagine how we felt when a team involving John O'Shea and Phil Neville kept doing it to us
Out of the team i put up there is only Shaw, Mata and Herrera who haven`t won a premier league medal in the same team (United) i could add Fellaini to that but he was my second choice
True, it was nice for the lad to have something to show at the end of his career. I remember the game (possibly his Liverpool debut?) when he scored against Wimbledon. No one would have predicted at the time that he'd win the league with United.
So what? What has passed has passed and United have gone passed their sell by date as a team and as a club. Trading on past glories is where your at. There comes a time in the affairs of all organisations when it appears that whatever they try and do events overcome them. United in such such a position right now. How long this will last I don't know but experience suggests that it won't pass swiftly. We await events.
Herrera is slow on the ball used to spanish league where you get more time, he may adapt but this is yet to be seen. Shaw is good, if a little unproven but wing backs only work well if you have a decent CB partnership which despite their medals you don't.
The comments were made in the vernacular so that you had the possibility of understanding. If you have have any sense at all then you will note that there is no reference whatsoever to any other club other than United.
