And that's the thing. If we finish 5th and he wants to go, what are we going to get for him? £20m? Re-sale value isn't great. I'm not all about buying players with re-sale value, but if he doesn't make the difference between 1st and 2nd or as your say, CL and no CL, then could we afford to keep him? Probably not... and therein lies the risk!
I don't believe it and won't do until I see Dave Whelan taking a photo of Falcao leaning! This just isn't a typical Liverpool signing. Who was the last established star player we signed? Fernando Morientes...?
Not sure if this has been mentioned but The Express seem to think we're in for Romero as competition for mignolet http://www.express.co.uk/sport/foot...mero-deals-in-the-works-but-no-move-for-Rossi
Falcao is one of the best strikers on the planet guys, seriously just forget resale values and wages etc etc for one minute, we are not the accountants we are the fans and this should be extremely ****ing exciting even to just be rumoured to have had a bid accepted! Live a little!!!
I'd need to see him leaning like a back up dancer in Jackson's smooth criminal video before I believe it lol.....
Your proof? 30 mins in Emirates cup? He's been out for 6 months at age 28 with acl If he's slowed it's an issue. If he breaks down it's an issue If he is still same player wonderful but it's a risk that's all that can be said
You could wipe out the injury and everyone would probably start going on about whether he'll settle in the PL - every single transfer is a gamble - I certainly would lay my chips down on Falcao over say Lavezzi
I think we've missed the boat on Falcao, he would have been the ideal replacement for Torres but I think now there's to many ifs and buts ( fee, wages, injuries and form). That being said I would be very excited if we signed him, but can see why the club might be cautious.
