Modric is a classy player, we need someone like him. He's what I hope Allen may one day become. That team needs a defensive minded player in the middle, but when ypu think Khedeira isn't in that team or bench either.... I think Barca have on paper the better attack, but their midfield isn't what it used to be. Xavi is on the decline and unless Messi plays well, Iniesta & Busquetes don't see as brilliant. Fabregas & Thiago have gone which seems odd considering they need to replace Xavi and Rakatic is a good player, but not sure if he's Barca level. Would have certainly had him at Liverpool though.

Judging by the state of the pitch arsenal did an ok job. An away goal is ideal but thru didn't get once hence just ok I think they'll smash em in second leg

Yeah... I suppose there is the long term risk though, that them doing worse, means fewer points for "Premier League" coefficient. If enough English teams do badly over the next 4 years or so- we could end up with 3 European spots instead of 4.
