Arsenal look to continue their winning start to the new season as they travel to Istanbul for a tricky Champions League play-off against Besiktas on Tuesday. The Gunners will be looking to progress with as little fuss as possible, but they know any match in Turkey is always a challenge, especially now as Besiktas now have a familiar foe of Arsenal in Demba Ba. Arsenal themselves will be looking for a better performance than they mustered against Crystal Palace, especially with an injury to key LB Kieran Gibbs, in order to keep their 100% Champions League Qualification record under Arsene Wenger.

Prediction: Besiktas 0-2 Arsenal

 

I think it's unlikely Oxo will start on the wing. Wenger has said he sees him as a CM, and I think that's where he'll play from now on.

Saturday, when Wilshere came off for Oxo, he played in CM, when he could have been shunted out to LW with Cazorla through the middle.

 

I don't want to see Wilshere starting or Cazorla wide

 

Good lineup and after the weekend is probably the one i'd go for. As for OXO not seen as a winger, he's better playing there than Cazorla and Wilshere in my opinion. He has that pace that can go past players. If anything, Cazorla and Wilshere are more CMs than OXO.

 

Agree, prefer Carzola in the middle (ATM) and Oxo on the wing.

Someone really needs to come down hard on violent football hooligans. No more fining the club or playing behind closed doors. Go and find them and throw them in jail. The footballing world will be a better and safer place.

Pretty much as expected. Thank **** Koscielny is fit and read, and we actually have some defensive cover for this game.

 

Really could've done with some rotation, especially with a tough weekend game coming against Everton, you don't want to tire the players already so early into the season. Would have preferred to have seen the OX and Rosicky starting.

 

I think you will see the rotation come at the week-end.
