No word of a lie, about an hour ago I saw Danny Kedwell with a man in a nice suit (obviously his agent) walking down Gillingham high street. I had just come out of Wllkinsonâs and bam! he was right in front of me. I ran home as soon as I could to tell everyone about this as hopefully this is really good news. I also hear Scally will be back soon for a few days. If you put the two togetherâ¦â¦â¦.. We seriously need to start bringing in some numbers. We really need a striker and a gk, otherwise we are screwed for next season.. Before you say im a WUM. Im not. Im a season ticket holder in the Rainham End and have been for 4 years! UTG
I hope that you are right and at least he is coming to have talks with the club. However, he could have been catching a train to Charlton for talks with them. Now that the Chairman is due back during the latter half of the week, let's hope that both him and Hessy get round a table and do some serious talking about the players that are needed at the club. It is then up to the Chairman to to the deal(s). The first friendly is now only 4 days away.
Maybe the fact he lives in Twydall might explain him being in Gillingham, and the first friendly is against Ashford week Wednesday the 6th July
interesting that sky sports rate him a 5, i.e not very good. although if this is based against prem and champ league players then im sure thats prob correct for anyone league 2 standard or below
This certainly sounds promising! Fingers crossed, the more i read about him and what wimbledons fans say the more i want him here at Gillingham. Sky sports probably rated simeon 4 when he turned up though, i very much doubt they rate lower league players highly at all.
I will have to meet up with him soon as he is only just back from Holiday, I have not heard from him lately so I don't know if he is officially ours yet but when I do know I will tell you if you don't find out before.
could even be s.payne if they want a striker, maybe even on loan. bar that we dont really have anyone to offer them i'd have thought. not who'd we'd let go anyways
I've heard danny jackman could be in a switch deal as well, i bet he goes to wimbledon and regains his form from northampton! Wouldn't be too fussed to lose him though and i'd much rather lose oli then s.payne at least he has the potential to be a good player.
Seeing as we actually paid a fee for Jackman, quite a high one for our standards, I doubt we would use him in a cash+player swap deal..
Dennis Oli would be a good option to put as the player to exchange. Out of the deal we would get a good player and get rid of a hopeless one! Result!
Jackman has on ly got a year left. If the manager doesn't feel he needs him then a part exchange deal is the obvious thing to do. We get the player we want, and Danny gets a new contract which he may not get if we release him next year, and he's had no playing time with us.
Does anyone know why Hess doesn't seem to like Jackman? I thought he would be his kind of player. He's a hard worker who can be fantastic when given a run in the first team (Northampton spell anyone?). However I suppose this would make the deal a lot sweeter for the wombles. Also they signed a forward the other day, could he be their replacement for Kedwell?
