I agree with this. I genuinely enjoyed the first BB as it was a study of people and how they interact in a strange closed environment. Then it just gradually got more and more stupid and sensationalist, pushing the contestants further and further for cheap headlines and titillation. Celeb BB just relies on car crash TV and breakdowns. Look back at the first couple of series and it had reasonably famous people in it but not now, it's just trash.
Yep, first series was brilliant. Of course they didn't know what to expect or indeed if anyone was even watching. As far as they were aware it couldve sunk without trace but on the contrary it was a huge smash. Every series since has been pointless, they went in with a preconcieved idea of what the show was, which really was unavoidable.
They should just not show it on TV. Get a load of wannabe or have been ****s in the house, go through the motions, play their games, have nominations, have evictions but record nothing & give it no air time. When they come out just send them on their way with a polite wave & a kick in the cock/****.
This was brought up at work today,by a bloke who started by saying "right i don't watch it,but our lass had it on", Bollocks ! How many times do men say that ?
