Refuse to give you best players new contracts when they have explicitly said they would sign a new contract given one (Max Gradel), sell your best players and your promotion hopes at that (Kasper Schmeichel and Fabian Delph) and if they don't want to leave you send threats telling them they won't play for Leeds again so they aswell move (Kasper Schmeichel) and then replace them with 2nd class player. Kasper was class this season, look at those saves against Derby, Watford, Arsenal (twice) ect we've lost a Premiership goalkeeper for peanuts in my view. For the first time in years, I haven't got that optimism of success, under Uncle Ken were selling our promotion hopes, and buying mid table mediocre or worse. We seriously need to bring in a top class goalkeeper equivalent of Kasper, like Fraser Forster, Chris Kirkland, Alex Smithies ect not some Blackpool reject.

Kasper was not one of our best players. We don't yet know if Max has been offered a new contract and it has been made clear ever since Rachubka signed that he is here as back up to whoever does replace Schmeichel.

with a lesser keeper we would have had been thrashed by Arsenal and finished mid table. Kasper was Leeds unsung hero, rarely getting praised despite some amazing saves. And why sign Rachubka. What was wrong with Higgs as backup, clearly low Championship level keeper. If there had been a new contract offered he would of signed it, or denied it, which would have had been widely reported. I think it's pretty safe to say he hasn't been offered a new contract otherwise we would of heard of it.

With a better keeper, we would have done the same against Arsenal and finished in the play off positions.

Probably because of the lack of an all-round game in the later stages of the season except for his shot-stopping. Also his big-time Charlie, self-before-side attitude.

He certainly didn't look capable of playing in the Championship against Barnsley and Preston. Rachubka's got promoted with Blackpool twice, he'll easy be good enough to warm our bench, a lot more capable than Higgs at any rate.

You post videos of the Derby and Arsenal performances - his two best. But one was at the start of the season before we saw his playing style and communication deteriorate and the other was an exceptional cup tie in which even Alex Bruce looked like a defensive rock. I can show you YouTube clips that make Anthony Elding look good if I try.

Ken Bates doesn't have a policy on transfers, because that would mean he would need to think of what to do and he doesn't like doing that. Bates will kill this club if we let him, and that is the big thing...IF WE LET HIM. The time for action (protests, non buying of season tickets, staying away from the club (home and away) etc is here and will eventually kick in and have a major effect on the club and if strong anti Bates moves are made (vocally), he will give up. The worry is that he will move his shares on to someone as equally vile as Bates and his fecking associates.
Those Leeds fans who have supported Bates through his time at Leeds and questioned those who knew what he was about, hide your head in shame, you probably said the same when Ridsdale was in charge and you should now just feck off to the hovel you belong.

I strongly want Bates out of the club but, quite simply, I'm not boycotting games unless there's a large movement started which can demonstrably effect change within the club. Otherwise I'd just be a drop-out in the ocean who ended up watching Phil Thompson wittering away on a Saturday afternoon rather than pursuing my passion. And let's face it, Leeds fans (and the English in general) have never been any good at arranging protests.

That's the problem, almost everyone thinks this. There should be a blockage of people getting into the stadium, a bit like walking through a picket line. The fact is nobody does anything and hopes things will change by themselves, well they won't, this club is going nowhere fast and the sooner many Leeds fans woke up to that fact, the better. Get out and protest and make a noise, get on the telly, get publicity.....

While I agree with the idea, you need such numbers to get involved in a protest like that. Look at scum and their green and gold campaign. It's got loads of publicity and backing from some high fliers but it hasn't really made a difference. Unfortunately the club is Bates' until he wants to leave.

Let's be honest the Man Utd brigade, were middle class tossers, who wanted publicity. I agree it's hard, getting a protest movement always is, but once a few start others follow and if people get to know what will probably happen is the staus quo remains, people will join.

Why not make a website and try and get something started if that's your ambition? Hawk it round the established LUFC bloggers, supporters groups, forums and respected Twitter sources etc. and try get it viral.

Fair point, Leeds fans would no doubt be more driven and more resistive, it's all about the numbers though. We've got a few on here, and as DF points out, there are some established blogged, twitter accounts who might be willing to help out. All depends if they are anti-bates.

Make the protest "professional" enough and people will take it more seriously...
