I'm not going to crucify him if he doesn't reach the target! I just think that, based on current form and system (and both could change), he could be capable of it.
Right so... 31 goals to make up... Assuming sturridge gets 21 min 1. 15-20 from sterling 2. Henderson.... 10? 3. Lovern 4? 4. Can... 5? I can see us making up 20 of those goals but we must also see Gerrard getting so many pens will not reoccur
He got a lot so same again or even less is most likely to my mind You have a point 20 less conceded would be good but equally we just threw in goals in games like Stoke and so forth that didn't affect result Overall it's key goals we need to break deadlocks not cream on top 5th goals so we can easily score 25 less and win the same number of games
Re:Skrtel - He got seven league goals last season, so he'd be doing well to match that and then also help compensate for the loss of Suarez's goals. Re Second point - Agree completely. We won't need to score 101 goals again if we can tighten up at the back (obviously I won't complain too much if we do score 101 goals again though...)
Lallana got 10 last season, I'd like to see him repeat that. Markovic should be chipping in. I'd want double figures from any new striker.
I would guess John 'Lazar' Malkovich, Lallanna and Lambert should be good for 15-20 between them. And Falcao to net 20+
Another thing about multiple goal scorers, the opposition won't know who to target like most teams did with Suarez. They won't know where the main threat is coming from.
BR shouldn't push the midfield to score to many unless there is a decent opportunity and no better options. It felt at times on Sunday especially in the first half we had a few decent chances where the ball to Sturridge was on but the player went for the shot instead. If you tell players they need to score goals then they will try to score goals, when we still have one of the best goal scorers in the league just a pass away. Anyway if we can get are defense sorted then there's no reason you can't win the league with 80+ goals!
