Just a case of BR stating the obvious. We know we need more players scoring more goals because no single player / two players will get 30+ / 50+ goals.
is there an -en- missing at the end of the thread title? I agree Brendan, he needs to stop missing sitters and open goals.
Greez - see the comment about their goal. 'We never tracked the run'. Rodgers obviously wants players to track runs in that instance it seems from that comment
WTF he hasn't even posted on the thread and you're still replying to him. Talk about obsessed, the whole forum
Greez had posted, just did special post that only mods could see. One of us does it on every thread otherwise you lot can't comment on said thread We were discussing that very thing In the matchday thread and noticed that BR mentions it here as well, Proving my point that I am right, yet again
On topic, I think there's capacity for all our players to increase their goal tally this season, especially the midfielders. The only exceptions would be Skrtel and perhaps Sturridge, who should however be aiming to at least match last year's tally.
I think 10 league goals from Sterling is a good return. Not many wide forwards get that many from other teams. It's players like Hendo, Courinho and Lallana need to chip in with 20-25 between them and then Allen, Can, with a couple each. I don't think you should expect goals from defence, more an added bonus if they do, especially full backs who don't go up for corners.
True, but I think that given the system we play and his form, 15 goals should be a target he's capable of getting. Agree on Hendo, Ford and Lallana.
Definitely should be looking to get more but I just think he's still a 19 year old kid. How many wingers/wide forwards score 15 league goals at his age?! Obviously the more the better and he's not you're average 19 year old, he's got serious talent! But don't want to be putting too much pressure on him.
