who are the players in point 1? Is it tony kroos? lets face it real bought him and he was at wc before that. utd could have Jordan Belfort in charge and not get him

Who else have i missed that utd have really bid on? vidal, pogba... no bids at all.

I cannot argue with point 2 other than to comment that 200k per week is possible which will always attract a player.

Like saying his team's confidence is "smashed"? <whistle>

It would be a huge shame for Van Gaal to go, and Man Utd should at least ask him to cover the millions of pounds they spent on new pitches and CCTV cameras for him

don't think managers positions are like players really. If a man says i resign... he resigns... players are monetary assets to be sold. a manager playing that game is no asset at all.

I think gardening leave would be one possibiltiy or a 6 month ban form joining another club but you couldn't hold a manager. you could keep paying him alright or try to sue for breach of contract but you can't brow beat a guy into running your club like you can a player into kicking ball to get the best move.

    You dont know this.
United do not let the world know when they have bid.
Surely they have bid on some players this summer (other than the ones they have signed of course).
If they havent then Woodward is an even bigger ****** than i first thought.

Go on then educate me Dave. What else is there to materialism other than loving the material elements of the world i.e. your possessions, and the theory that physical matter is the only reality.

first is was not 3-5-2 it was 5-2-3, mata, hernandez and rooney played and noe are cms to track back to make the 5. full backs are the same.

second you are right 3-5-2 is easy to counter with a 4-3-3. just push two wide men out to pin fullbacks ear back and isolate no 9 with 3 cbs and focus on midfield dominance.

third, again yes if you play 3 at the back you need mobile RCB and LCB and an organizer between them. they have to pull wide at times. UTd have none of these these really.

Finally, no he was not drunk, but i think he knows in his heart he's got no midfield and the wingers are gash.

Liverpool don't tell people when we bid on players either, but we normally hear about it. Agents talk - particularly on the continent - because they want to drum up interest and spark bidding wars to make more money. I'd say the vast majority of bids a club makes will be known (at least in internet communities) within a day, even if not in the papers.

Sorry but that's just a too simplistic way of viewing United's financial position.

For well over a year, the US financial markets have been speculating about what will happen to the Glazer empire following the expected demise of Malcolm Glazer. That conundrum appears to yet to be resolved even allowing for some very generalised PR. This hiatus has been very bad news for United. In the US the Glazer tribe have bigger fish than United to fry. It is imperative that they develop either a new common strategy or dismantle the existing empire. Therefore whilst the 'sweet words' are wafting over the Atlantic, there is always the unwritten caveat "as things stand" attached to them. Therefore the operational executives at United are trying to 'fight the good fight' with one arm tied behind their back.

I've no idea if Woodward is good bad or indifferent as a negotiator but I don't envy him the job - there are just too many variables beyond his control. To my mind all United can do is to accept their fate in the short term whilst they re-establish some executive stability.

    utds next three fixutres

Aug 24 Sunderland vs Manchester United
Aug 26 Milton Keynes Dons vs Manchester United
Aug 30 Burnley vs Manchester United

3 away games and two gimmies according to the chelsea lads anyway... sunderland of course will be short of striking options so i expect utd should pull in at least 4 points and go through on pens.

352/532 both depend on 3 CBs, which United don't have. If it was 532 it's even more ******ed since they don't have any WBs either.

IMO their best team on the day might have been:

    ------------ De Gea
    Jones Smalling Blackett James
    ------ Fellaini -- Fletcher
    -- Kagawa Herrera Mata
    ------------ Rooney

Not so fancy and #tacticalgenius but something stable to start the season with

Imagine how thick you must be to believe this.

Ask yourselves, do managers and ceo's of football clubs meet during the transfer window to discuss potential signings......

I know 0 when it comes to US finance so I cannot comment, but surely this is irrelevant.
The money is there, United HAVE been spending, they just haven't been able to get the players they want because they are being snubbed.
Fellaini was a huge waste, because he has been pants. Mata was not what they needed at all and was another waste.
They spent a ridiculous amount on an 18 year old (surely not the actions of a club in financial bother), and signed Herrera, who we haven't really seen yet so could come good.
It looks like they have money, but their problems seem to be a combination of signing the wrong players and players, agents or whoever, telling them to f**k off and snubbing them......

Of course Man United fans would have us believe this isnt the case. United havent bid on anyone this summer, despite LVG coming out and saying they need new signings NOW and the whole world and their dog can see their current squad is dog ****e.
