It is ironic that clubs are swooping from everywhere to buy our strikers - and they seemingly can't hit a ****ing barn door between them!
I rate Sagbo but 6million for a guy who has played limited games and makes us a good profit is difficult to turn down. Problem is there is a real shortage of strikers out there and without him it on leaves us with one recognised striker. Who would we realistically be able to sign because there aren't too many names out there. Sick or hearing Remy's name because he is way out of out league in terms of quality, price and wages. Not to mention he has stated he didn't want to to join Newcastle.
I'd actually be very happy with Aboubakar, I've always rated him and I always thought he'd end up somewhere like West Ham. However, they've just signed that lad we were linked with so I'd love to see us sign him. He's still young and is doing the business at a very good level for a very average team.
Bit of a Yannick Sagbo, but players mature and get better. He managed 4, 8 and 3 in prior seasons, but last season he managed 16 goals and 6 assists, which isn't bad going. He's very highly rated in France and has been watched by some pretty big clubs.
I wouldn't read too much into this one, the story came from a UAE paper and I've not seen it backed up anywhere else. Hull City News just tweet all rumours about us, it doesn't give it any more credibility and £6m is a lot for a player who hasn't really proven himself yet.
IF Sagbo wants to go and a £6m release is valid then SELL SELL SELL. imo. £18m+ for Long and Sagbo is great business. imo.
