My dad took me to both, Toon on a Saturday, Sunderland on the Wednesday. Choice made itself, both clubs were very different then to what they are today, but there was summat in the Clock Stand paddock that night that even as a 7 year old got to me. I stood there for several years before moving across to the Main Stand, Roker Wing, and as I got older became obvious that we'd been stood in the area the Vaux lads all collected and that is what had given the area it's vibrancy and that something extra. I fell in love forever that night, in about 35 layers cos my mother wasn't keen, thought I was too young, on the way dad bought me a hat, one of those that was 3/4 Sunderland and had a patch of another team, in this case Rangers (no motives here...). Still have it to this day and will have to my grave. Have there been moments I wished I'd gone Toon? Na, genuinely no, by the time '92 hit I was 13 and a long term season ticket holder, I remember the start of the Keegan revolution vividly, an ANdy Cole hat-trick in a 3-0 win v Bristol City I think, and thinking '****s'. I thought '****s' for a few years after, pretty much on a weekly basis, until Reid got us back on the map....
I both love & hate D Day Somb. I get so hyped that I make some peoples life a misery. Last season at home some coins whizzed past the bairns heed, I came out of that ground fit to burst I was so pumped up.
No. I'm not a spokesperson or historian. Do you have to quote this to everyone from another club who doesn't bow down to you? 23 miles from SJP. And no, nobody mentions a waiting list because we haven't had one since level seven was built. Too embarrassing. Why don't I go back to our board? I've been posting in here for longer than you, and I'll certainly not go because you suggest it.
So why are you speaking on behalf of every Newcastle supporter like you know everything that's been said for 20 years? You don't even go ffs, you only know what's been said from what you read on here If you don't want to listen to Sunderland supporters I'd suggest you're in a pretty ****ing stupid place.
I normally like your posts, but sometimes you go way OTT. I was at the match yesterday. I haven't got a season ticket now, but still go 12 to 15 games a season. Where the hell have you got that I don't go to the games from? That first quote of how do you know everything that every Newcastle fan has said the last 20 years is poor. You're better than that.
Well none hit him & I know some of our lot can be twats as well but still, when blokes have their kids with them? Never been to an away derby for a good few years but by god I used to love it. The walk from Marlborugh Crescent up to SJP had me excited as ****, lol.
Why's that, you don't .... and you don't have the right to speak on behalf of 50,000 people you've never met. Or do you ......... And 'boasting' about seeing 12 games a season is ****e tbh ...... I saw more than that from 1000 miles away. If I only see that many from 130 miles away I'd consider myself a part timer.
Ffs. You're talking bollocks. I'm leaving it there. And no, that's not a sign of defeat, you're not on form tonight.
