What a bite it was too!. No doubt you're stronger in depth this season(which was needed anyway) and I think you've improved in the long term but currently? At the very least your performance yesterday posed some serious questions. Not sure your defence is going to be improved massively by a young, attacking left back and it was a long way off good enough yesterday. Infact, I always felt last season that your defence looked weak, in part, due to your very attacking style but yesterday Lucas and Gerrard really didn't stray forward often yet I can't remember either of them making a tackle and you were repeatedly opened up in the second half. Maybe Southampton are much better than we thought, time will tell but I don't buy into all this "better to win without playing well" nonsense. Liverpool really were ideally placed to start well, you had the least interruption from the World Cup(out of the main teams) and you were able to field a experienced Premier League side(Right back excepted) against a young team, missing their best players and trying to bed in new signings. As for us. 5th/6th looks the likely position on paper. Football's much easier on paper though so I'd wait awhile before dismissing us.
Thanks for that. It really cheered me up! Seriously, though, you must be worried, I don't care how brave a face you try to put on it. Of course, I hope for top 4 - most Spurs fans do, I'm sure - but I've yet to meet a single Spurs supporter who believes we will. Most of us are realistic about our chances. However, the one thing I am prepared to predict with conviction, is that we'll finish above 'Pool.
Funny how uou are not a betting man. If you would bet 10000 on liverpool finishing bottom half then there really is no hope for you. I suspect however as per usual you are just attempting you usual brand of sensationalist wumming. I think the prem will be extremely competitve this year and we are one of 6/7 teams that could make the top 4. We will have to perform week in week out to get there though. Consistancy is the key.
And no I cant afford ten grand. Im not a premier league footballer. (Although could probably get a game upfront for spurs.) Have got a grand I won saturday night though. And it would be easier doubling up with you than selling knickers to a sunday morning slag.
Maybe she sees Raheem Sterling as the one to fill the Chris Brown-shaped hole in her life? Surely buying West Ham would be better, with Andy Carroll, Stewart Downing and Ravel Morrison to choose from?
Looks like Balotelli is only a matter of time now. Just thought I'd let you know so you could start practicing typing "purple patch", "flat track bully", "overrated" and "useless" again! / Not actually who I wanted- but can't wait to find out how terrible he is now he's joining us. Please inform me.
