Difficult for them to have a working stream if there are not going to be any TV cameras at Lokeren's ground :)

It also takes a certain sort of sport to want to emulate another one. In Hull's case, we had one local RL club in particular, backed up by their 'army of fans' (Hull Daily Mail speak for 6,000) who wanted to rub our noses in it when we were struggling big time.
They rebranded themselves as 'Hull's Premier Club' renamed themselves Hull Football Club, tried to poach our sponsors (the few we had at the time) and used every opportunity to get one over on us. The Hull RL derby which up to then was just another fixture on the calendar suddenly became the biggest sporting derby in the world, yeah. that's how it was pushed. 'Bigger then Celtic v Rangers, on par with Man U v Man City, or the North London Derby, and Liverpool v Everton'. When in reality if there was a football comparison it would have been Torquay v Exeter.
Nothing against the game of RL at all. As long as they stop trying to rubbish football as a sport at every opportunity, whilst in the next breath try to emulate us as clubs.
More evident in Hull and Wigan. No other city gives a toss. For proof read your history books.
    I'm not making this up.

And I remember Ipswich in Europe and the media's obsession with 'The Tractor Boys are here in their hundreds.........etc etc'
We're in Europe in a proper competition and we should be on the telly. Simple as.

To be honest if there's one sport RL tried to emulate its American Football, not Association Football.

There WILL of course be TV cameras there, as the game will be filmed (just as the Trencin games were), but they won't be broadcasting live.

Unless somebody pulls something out of the bag sharpish.

I'm monumentally pissed off as it goes, I wanted to watch the game not listen to it on the sodding radio AGAIN.

    Harumph.

I have news! From a source at ITV:

"Hull at least look like they are attempting to sell their home leg this time - they haven't yet announced a definite kick-off time, though given it will at least overlap with Tottenham I can't see there being a lot of interest.

The away leg doesn't appear to be on TV in Belgium.

Spurs' away leg is being televised, but will be a 5pm UK kick-off, so not very attractive."

I suppose when Swansea were being shown last season, it could be argued that they were, de facto, representing the country of Wales, therefore representing a greater interest (since the cessation of the ECWC, Welsh clubs usually do utterly **** in Euro comps).

I’m not surprised by our own TV and their lack of interest in us at this stage. But, I am a little surprised (albeit with admitted ignorance) Belgian TV aren’t showing it

I’m not trying to patronise Belgium here and I’m well aware of their history and place in European and world football. But Lokeren don’t play Premier League clubs that often, especially against a PL club they have a decent chance of beating.

Apparently Spurs opponents are also trying to sell their rights but are asking for too much money which is narrowing down the chances of their away game being shown too.

No fans of other UK teams would watch us until the qtr or semi finals

We are not a big pull for TV, Leeds or Sheff Wed etc would be on TV as they have a far bigger fanbase and history than us

Again Spurs massive club expect them to be on TV

Id honestly be suprised if ITV or BT show our group games should we get there, they would only get viewers in the Hull area

They automatically get the rights to these games as it's in their contract. That said ITV will probably go for the spurs/Everton games and leave us for BT a lot of the time.

Apart from the thousands of City fans that live all over the country?

Oh and the tens of thousands of non-City fans that enjoy watching EL games on TV.
