Just browsed over the article in the Ronnie on the way home and I've got the feeling he'll be staying.

    Hope so anyway.

Well that's wrong, Ba is clearly Carroll's replacement.

Hopefully we'll add Erdinc or someone else to mix it up a bit.. we need a agile & quick striker. Similar to Defoe but obviously younger. <ok>

  5. I'd rather he signed a new contract or we sell him. I'd rather not let him go on a free next season.

Definatley agreed but it depends on how much we get for him. Turning down offers if we can't get him to sign a new contract is effectivly paying the price their offering to have him for one season

  8. It all depends how much we can get for him. We have to ask ourselves how much money will a player give back in a season. Another season of Barton is worth around 10m to us, as that's what he gives back in his performances.

How much is a season of Enrique worth?

You think we'd be 10m worse off for a season without Barton? I think with all these new signings he'll have a job keeping his place.

If Enrique genuinely wanted the move then I'd let him go for 7mil, which is a decent price for a player with only a year left on his deal.

  10. Would we be able to get a good replacement for 7 million though?

And no 10m was a bit over the top. I still think Barton is worth at least 7/8 million though.

    i agree

personally i would offer him a 1 year extension, that way he wont feel trapped in a really long deal and we can re-evaluate the situation next year

I think so, players like M'Bengue would be in that sort of price range and we'd have made a profit on him, which is what Ashley wants when we sell a player.

  13. LB is a weird position though. There's hardly any decent LB's going that would come to us. We've had a 5 and a 6 mil bid turned down, and apparently his club reckon they could get much more if PSG or Lille come in for him.
