Couldn't agree more, the impact that Sagbo has on games is not fully justified by watching stuff on TV/online, nor would it be any player. Your example of Ronaldo and Messi is completley over-reactive; I've never seen Arjen Robben play, but I can tell you he's a world class player. You appear to have confused Sagbo and Proschwitz, by the sound of things. I mean, doesn't this many people (who've been to see him play) telling you he's good enough give you some inkling that you might be wrong on this one?
We're talking about whether Sagbo is good enough because we've recieved a transfer offer from Wigan. Or, you know, that's what we'll say to keep the mods happy.
No, not in the sand. As I said before, Sagbo has scored 6 from 35 appearances in his last season at Evian and 2 from 28 with us. His two goals have cost us 1.5 million quid each (plus his wages of course). When Jelly and Long came in he couldn't get a start. I appreciate that seeing him 'live' you will form a different opinion of him but he is far from cutting the mustard at this level (imo) and we need better.
Fryatt, Prozzy, Long & Sagbo gone? Bruce would have a hell of a lot of work to do before the transfer window shuts.
It's four times what we paid for him so at £6m I'd move him on. You could probably tempt Sunderland with that for Wickham
Seems like good business for us to me. Some people on here take things very personally when someone wants to pay top dollar for our players. I'm sure we can end up with a better pair of strikers than Long and Sagbo for a total of about £18 million
I'd say those reports are wide of the mark seeing as it was widely reported that he has a £5m release clause.
Sorry mate, I believe the amount was 'undisclosed' but I went on this which stated 3 million. http://www.crunchsports.com/categor...-yannick-sagbo-in-3million-deal-201307270002/
TigerRoo seems to be the only person who is desperate to get rid of Sagbo. Which is odd. IMO Sagbo is a very decent squad player. He doesn't seem to have that knack of scoring goals, but his general play is good, he runs the channels and can play wide.
I'm not sure of the credentials of Crunch Sports, but as it was reported as £1.5m in the Hull Daily Mail, the UK nationals and in the French press, I'd be tempted to go with it.
I think Sagbo would be up for that - half his Instagram pics are of him and his mates on their jollys in Dubai.
Been mentioned already, but L'Equipe thinks he is actually deciding between us and QPR Reports in the papers this morning claimed West Ham will hold talks with Morgan Amalfitano this week, but there is plenty of interest in the Marseille attacker. According to L'Equipe, Amalfitano was at Loftus Road on Saturday to watch Queens Park Rangers' game against Hull City, with both clubs reported to be keen. Sunderland and Crystal Palace have also been linked with Amalfitano, who impressed on loan at West Brom last season and is reportedly available for £2million.
