I see many people having a go at Moyes after his claim that he didn't get enough time to do his thing at United, and I don't blame him for saying it. Ferguson was the only reason you got a sniff at a title in the last few years. Moyes inherited a s**t squad, and Ferguson left because he knew the gig was gonna be up pretty soon, and he'd done all that he could do with his old stars retiring or becoming crock, and his newer stars not at all comparing in terms of quality or professionalism. Moyes had Rooney and RVP who are quality, but who else? Fletcher and Carrick? s**t. Kagawa, hit and miss, and lightweight. Wingers? Rofl! Nani is a c**t and s**t. Valencia passed it. Young is alright but not top quality. Your defence was s**t. Rio and Vidic were crock. Vidic was especially over rated. Rafael? Average. Evra crock. On top of this, Rooney has looked depressed for a while now, mainly because he's a f**ing excellent striker who has been told to play a number 10 role, but has really been pushed back into a f**ing central midfield role, constantly having to track back and sweep up the s**t because you've consistently lacked a proper defensive midfield player. And RVP is a c**t with a terrible attitude. If s**t don't go his way, he's a little arsewipe. Moyes did sign Fellaini, which I'll concede was a s**t signing. I don't know what he was thinking paying that amount of money for a player like that. He signed Mata who's a good player. So he was given the funds to sign a CDM and a CAM, and well before the season had finished people were calling for his head? Not fair! You were hoping for normal service to be resumed, and a quick fix to come, but Moyes needed time to build a new era, as not even you can compete with City and Chelsea in terms of spending power. You needed a new system. Look at Liverpool. No where near as strong as the likes of City and Chelsea in terms of squad depth and player quality, but they can compete in the top 4 because of the quality they have, yes, but mainly because of the manager and the system that he's been allowed to implement over time. Liverpool will be going forward and gradually gaining on the likes of City, where as you will bring in manager after manager, thinking "he's a big name, he'll sort us out", but no... he wont. You're slowly going to fade away unless you give a manager a proper chance to build a new system. And by fade away, I don't just mean scrape champions league places like Arsenal, I mean you could become the next Nottingham Forest or Leeds. I'll be interested to see what Wayne Rooney does, because the only reason he's staying at Man United is because he's been given ridiculous wages, and at 28, with a player of his quality, I'd be looking to Join a side like Chelsea, City or Madrid, because Rooney should be playing for more than just good wages. I can only assume that he's lost all ambition and passion for the game if, by next year, you're still in the same position, and he stays with you. He's 28 years old now, and should be looking to spend his last years winning trophies. RVP will be off to the first strong champions league club that offers him a good contract.
It what way do you see the end of Utd? As arguably the biggest club in the world, as title contenders, or as a football club in general? Please explain.
All that effort Tash but I have a feeling the mods will delete it as it's anti Utd. Obvious some points are over exagerated but a lot of it is true - the fact is the truth hurts, hence it'll probably get closed.
First of all, United CAN compete with the spending power of Chelsea and City. Their turnover is such that they could easily bid for £50-60m players each season without it hurting too much, AND pay them comparable wages, so you can forget that. The only way United will slip down the league is if they underperform for another 2-3 seasons, and miss out on Champions League football and lose all their worldwide glory hunting support, but this will not happen in 1 year, or even 2. There are things like their sponsorship deal which will decrease if they dont get in the CL. Basically what I am saying is, if they can make it in the top 4 for the next couple of seasons, keep their name in the minds of people world wide by competing in the CL, their turnover is such that they will be able to overhaul their squad and stay up near the top, provided they have a decent manager and they give him enough time to do it. As much as we rival fans would like to see it, United are going nowhere right now, will take a couple more seasons like last season before it hits them too hard I am afraid.
The end of Man United... The f**ing RS have been predicting this for the last 25 years on very occasion United had a bad patch ... #neverendingdelusion #neverendingenvy
Whilst I agree with your sentiment, I dont think your current predicament can be called a "bad patch". SAF's bad patches involved finishing 3rd and winning the FA Cup. Thats like calling a broken leg a "Boo Boo"
for a f**ing deluded RS fan why don't this not surprise ??? Typical RS coming here to gloat after a lucky win...
Why not read it as a genuine OP...? Fair enough, the points are exaggerated but what he's said is his opinion and I don't think he's too far wrong. He's not saying you are doomed, he's saying you need to stick it out with a manager and let them rebuild, whats wrong with that?
