How much would Berahino cost us?

    Hmm

Plays in the PL - CHECK
Is a pretty average striker at a pretty poor team - CHECK
    Is British - CHECK

    I reckon about £15-20m

I agree on the money, but his averageness last season owes largely to age. He's been fantastic at the U21 level, and I'd expect him to develop into a very good striker in time.

I don't really know or care tbh. We will end up with someone who probably isn't massively exciting for too much money. As long as they are pretty decent when they play for us I can't complain.

Same I actually rate him. If we were willing to pay 10m for Townsend, Berahino is worth 15m.

For the 10 million being banded about for Townsend you could get a Belhanda, Lens or Volland. I know who I'd rather

Yep. He has plenty of talent, but what separates him from the many wonderfully athletic headless chickens that never reach their potential is that he's one poised kid. Has made a couple silly decisions, as one might expect given his age, but he has also shown uncommon composure in big moments...can't for the life of me remember which game it was now, but saw WBA late last year and came away really surprised by how good the decisions he was making on the ball were in tight spots.

I don't really get the hate for Townsend, I think he's a proper match winner.

Could be a good January target if West Brom are in the bottom 3.

Come in off the right wing, and shoot from distance. That appears to be all Townsend can do. Every now and then they rip the back of the net off, but more often than not it's just a case of gifting possession back to the opposition.

But I am so desperate for an wide attacking option, that I would actually take him for £10m. (Although if we're looking in Spurs' direction for such a player, I think I'd rather take Lennon. And he'd presumably be cheaper too).

He can be. There were times with QPR (and that one game with England) where I was blown away, and you start thinking that he could develop into a monster of an attacking threat. But those instances are few and far between, and his decision-making on the whole is awful, and doesn't appear to be improving. I don't think that he's a player that you can rely upon to contribute positively more often than not...he's in the same spot as the Ben Arfas of the world, good for a highlight reel but less so for a team.

Johnathan Biabiany? That would be a great signing imo.

Offer for Townsend has apparently been rejected anyway.

Please don't deal with Spuds; it'll only encourage them with Morgan.
