The bug has well and truly bitten. It gets to many people if they give themselves the chance. I don't have to tell anyone here, but I've explained to non-football types what attending a match is like and they stand there, glazed eyed, politely letting me finish. Then, once in a blue moon, one will accept an inviation to come to a match. And they become hooked. Or if not hooked, they really enjoy the event far more than they thought they would. As it happens, I have a nephew who has been taken to Fratton Park [long story, Father ran off with woman, little lad played rugby because his dad wanted him to play a gentleman's game, not the chav football game, and so a kindly Pompey supporting friend took him to FP to introduce him to football] and he loved it. Thing is, now he needs to come to a football match where Premier League quality football is played, so it's my turn to introduce him to Saints. I don't think we'll have any problems there. I might also offer to take him to Eastleigh too, in the interests of unbiased choice. But he's coming to St Marys for definite.
I just want to know what the hell jwp was doing with that performance.... Does he not realise he can't play like that until 1st September...
Personally, I think the mush wearing that is a twat. What is the ****ing point? Does he think Lovren will be upset on the extremely slim chance he'll see the back of a supporter sat in the stand? Bit moronic.
Some excellent performances today which give great encouragement. It will interesting to see how other teams get on at Anfield. Will the loss of the biter make them rather ordinary? Time will tell, you can only play as well as your opposition allow you to. Can I also thank the person who PM'd me regarding some posting which broke the rules, and remind others that confronting directly those posting this rubbish, particularly using the quote facility only make our job more difficult. Ta.
Well played today Saints - no points, but I take more confidence out of that than I would if I was a Liverpool fan. Very pleased with Bertrand - we didn`t look like we missed Shaw.
Unfortunately couldn't watch the game as I was on my way back from Belgium. Sounds pretty promising overall, lots of positives. How did Long play when he came on? Couldn't find too much on his performance skimming through. For those of you interested, Gent in Belgium is a cracking little city, we happened to be there during a mini festival. Much excellent beer was consumed!!

They just about had the edge in terms of quality at both ends. We bossed the midfield for long periods of the game though, so yeah, we were a bit unlucky.
@ShaneLong009: Great effort from the lads. Play like that for the rest of season and we'll be sweet. Already looking forward to next week
I was about to post almost exactly the same thing. Cheers CF. Yes, please DON'T engage these trolls. Just tell us. There's a difference with banter and outright offensive language or intent. And as CF infers, when you don't engage, there's less rubbish to clear up afterwards. And the troll pushes off having not hooked a biter. But we still get them. Cheers Pepys
