We paid 12m for Shane Long so nothing would surprise me.

 

12m for Shane Long was ludicrous, but he's at least average. Townsend is a very dynamic player for 15 minutes out of every fourth game, and kinda **** the rest.

 

£10m for Townsend would be ****ing hilarious. It is the going rate for a crap PL "proven" player though. We have to face the facts that we aren't going to be in for more high profile signings such as Wanyama, Ramirez and Osvaldo when they were signed, I am entirely convinced these player joined due to some kind of drug Cortese slipped them. Every signing is going to be pretty meh and will just have to see how they do.

 

And that Spurs aren't selling.

I'm happy that we are still looking to spend money and strengthen the squad. And I'm not really bothered by transfer fees as they have just taken on a ridiculous level since the new sky deal.

 

I think i'd rather give isgrove a shot then pay £10m or townsend

 

Most definitely.

 

I'd rather do neither, but this is Saints, so will probably end up paying £15m+ for Townsend

 

I like Townsend, but seem to be in a small minority here.

I think he is a direct, attacking player, and would be a decent addition.

 

Koeman confirms to BBC MOTD that he wants "one or two" more players - including a wide player.

Koeman also said that he doesn't want anymore CB signings after Gardos. I guess the second player could be a RB, or maybe 2 wingers.

 

He seems to rate Stephens tho, he can play rb, dm and cb. Cork can play rb if needed.
