I think this is a tad one-eyed. From our point of view you could say Remy had at least as good a shout for a pen as Jelavic at the end of the first half but not shown on MOTD and McGregor's time wasting went beyond what I'd normally expect to be permitted. One thing I'm surprised hasn't been a bigger issue was Barton's challenge on Huddlestone in the second half but perhaps I just had the wrong view of it.

Overall I didn't think he was a very good ref at all but equally I don't think you can say he was biased towards either team on the day.

I don't think the Jelavic challenge was a penalty.

Barton engages in nasty challenges all too often. Also he thinks he's a dead ball expert and he's not. I know that he's Marmite so I'll just say that he not my favourite player.

Towards the end we sat too deep and that encouraged you to press on. An equaliser was coming but you ran out of time.

Time wasting? Certainly, but when you're 1-0 up into the last 5 minutes you'll do the same.

Chester pen. Bruce is right, they've got to do something about it. Has to be intentional and very rarely is. 3 examples on MOTD and none of them were penalties. One resulted in a sending off as well. Ridiculous.

Remy's wasn't a pen at all if it's the one I'm thinking of where Davies was chasing back and clearly got the ball. Jela's was a clear pen as Traore went through the back of his leg. Chester's didn't touch his hand and even if it did wouldn't have been a handball.

Ridiculous decision against Chester. Jelavic foul was possibly a penalty, seen them given for less. Look at Anichebe 'winning' a penalty for West Brom yesterday - nothing in it.

    As I said, a tad one-eyed.

Not at all, they weren't even 50/50 decisions where bias comes into it. Davies clearly kicked the ball away and didn't get the man, QPR players didn't appeal. Traore clearly makes serious contact with Jela's ankle/leg. The ball hits Chester's chest/side. Those are all facts.

I wouldn't have given the Jelavic one. You could argue it was a foul but he turned 90 degrees deliberately to ensure he was hit from behind, rather than the side which I think was Traore's intention. I don't like that. He should have been focusing on getting the ball.

It doesn't matter that he was trying to win the free kick, the fact is that in the rules of football it is a foul. If it was given against us I wouldn't be happy that the other player had tried to draw a foul, but I certainly wouldn't claim it isn't a pen because it is.
