Maybe keeping it safe until our newbies have settled in more - I'm guessing that would be for Can? Then perhaps bring Can on if we're a couple/few goals up and give Gerrard/Lucas a 30min rest. Hendo could play for 5 hours straight so no need in giving that engine a rest...

Looking at the Live Feed football thread on the BBC salford website. 20+ minutes in and so far it's been: Steven Gerrard's slip (more than once), "we go again!" (again, more than once), Suarez is gone, etc. Not one mention of Man Utd's result yesterday so far. What a surprise.

We have a few midfielders out or not ready yet - I think our midfield is fine. We have three options for a DM and loads of options for an attacking threat.
BR playing it safe, don't have to set the world alight just yet, just get a decent start to the season. Not a lot of threat from the bench though, could do with lallana and lazar back asap
