Van Gaal is noted by commentators and critics for his arrogance and single mindedness, even in a field where most managers could be described under those terms he's singled out for his stubbornness. He wants Utd to play like Holland? Well he's finding out you need quality across the park for that kind of strategy to work, he hasn't got that at Utd. Just like when Rodgers came to us really, he had certain tactics in mind but didn't have the personnel in every position. Rodgers found a way to adapt whilst bringing in players he needed for the strategy each window and we're still doing that. What I'm saying is it will take a lot of time and manoeuvring to get Utd in a position to play how he really wants, in the meantime in a league like the PL he's going to have to work out how to wing it sometimes.
His holland side on paper were ****. So i doubt it. He held his hands up for the loss anyway. He will work on it. Onve his full team is available he wiol have far more options. We wont beat sunderland though.
