@RobTannerMerc: LCFC have had a third bid for Troy Deeney rejected. £10 mill rising to £12. Deeney not for sale at any price. #lcfc

Good then **** him off NP & have a look at our DEF. We should be able to get a very good DEF for 12 mil or even 2.

Watford must be crazy but have done us a favour to reject that outrageous bid. Reminds me of the Maynard saga and we all know how that ended up for bristol city

Talking of losing the plot, the offical facebook pages says we've got Ted Nugent upfront! They've even tagged the insane rockers facebook page to the team sheet!

After wood scoring today and looking a handful hopefully NP decides to forget Deeney, I know who I'd rather see and it's not the criminal!

Wood was superb. I wouldnt sign a new striker as i think we have 4 quality strikers already

Get in a midfielder, winger and left back

@SkySportsPeteO: Repors that Leicester City have had a third bid for Watford striker Troy Deeney rejected are wide of the mark. #lcfc #watfordfc

Why do you keep putting bids in? Nigel's better than that, I always thought he was an intelligent manager that didn't take any s**t off anybody, especially a club like Watford. I'd tell them to f** off unless they've got a reasonable evaluation for him. He won't be a happy bunny if they don't get promoted this season, their loss I suppose.

Haven't you read the post you quoted? We haven't put another bid in.

You've made two bids for Troy Deeney, that is what I was referencing. I would have left it at that considering their evaluation.

Two is not unusual. Not sure how many we put in for Ulloa, but it felt like double figures! We got him in the end though.

Obviously the real point behind your post is that you don't think £10m is a realistic valuation. To be honest, I find it hard to give a true verdict on Deeney because I dislike him due to his past history. I think he is a good player - but who knows when he'll get banged up again!

No, I don't think Deeney is worth £10M. His criminal history isn't something I'd consider an issue if he joined Hull City, Watford's bizarre evaluation is what puts me off. I can see Bruce splashing out on striker but I wouldn't spend more than £6M on Deeney.

Leicester have denied these reports of them placing a 3rd bid.

Think I may be pretty much a lone voice here, but I would actually welcome Deeney joining us. Seems to be a product of an Ulloa and Nugent affair, working hard, pace and can find the net. Is he worth £10m? Not one single footballer is worth that, but it may be the price we would have to pay. Have become indifferent to the prices paid for players these days, (I remember maximum wage of £130 a week, and the first million pound player), so quite frankly couldnt give a flying **** how much we will pay - it is a decision that Watford have taken, and that Robinson and the Thais must negotiate or agree. Would he add something different to us? - I believe he would.
As for his past, well, it is just that - past. Served his time and kept out of trouble since then. For those who think that kicking someone in the head is the most hideous and unforgiveable of crimes, then just thank **** you werent going football matches in the 70s/80s - happened regularly.

I agree to a point Barwell. I have no issue with the fact that he has been a naughty boy in the "past" and totally trust the judgement of Pearson and his team if they feel that he would be a good fit for our club, after some extensive scouting and research, then that is good enough for me....however......the fee that Watford are holding out for is in my opinion way to high and surely there must be better options available abroad? Slimani?
Around 2 weeks until the transfer window closes and I'd expect to see 3 new players come in by then.
