Ever noticed how continental players seem so much more comfortable in interviews (maybe it`s an intelligence thing), they never start their answer with erm or yeah and the answers always relate to the question

 

A lot start with "erm", you just don't notice it because they're foreign and aren't always fluent in the language. Or in other words, the expectancy level for British players to be able to speak English is much higher so the 'thicko' traits show through more.

 

I just think that most non English players give far better interviews with a better understanding of the game they have played in than English players do, wether this is down to confidence or intelligence i am not sure.

 

Really?? All foreign players just sound like 'bingobongoeuroland' to me 'ba ba ba ba ba'. The English ones though, it's just frontal lobotomy like 'der der der der goo goo ga ga' then they drool in a puddle on the floor and Des Lynam comes over to mop up

I was reading the above and saw this one...

The 22-year-old spent 10 years at Sevilla, his hometown club. He joined their youth academy at 13, and has rapidly progressed through their ranks.

My first thought was if he was there ten years and he's currently 22yrs old, how could he have joined them at 13, surely it would have been at 12 or he'd been there nine years. I then just assumed it would be something to do with his birth date being soon to arrive. So, as any bored batard does, I checked... 5 July, he's just turned 22! Poor from the Liverpool website
