Fee for Fer referred to Fifa?

QPR fans seem surprised about the amount involved. I really like Fer, but he has one major weakness and that is his casual stroll back to defensive positions when the ball is lost.

On another note, Snodgrass went off with an injury after 40 minutes today.

He also has a tendency to be a little rash in the challenge and picks up quite needless cards

Is Hooper actually injured or is he the next one to be put up for sale?

Well he's been seen around on crutches. Would be a fairly elaborate ruse. Strange Fer played today given this news.

If we sell Fer for £8m we need to at least spend half of that on a replacement of a similar age mid 20s , decent number 10s are few and far between for that price..
Thoroughly pissed off about the way we are doing things on the transfer market.

£8m for Fer is fantastic business provided we reinvest.

Wouldn't surprise me if Redmond is next off as Stoke are sniffing around

Redmond is the best player for England U21s and if he was at Saints he would be worth £25m we would probably sell him for £5m if the Leroy fee is a benchmark.
£8m for a mid 20s full Netherlands international that scored in the WC?

Don't think Redders will go now as Stoke signed Moses on season long loan.

This is absolutely true. The markup on Saints academy players is unbelievable. I maintain Lallana is nowhere near worth £28m or whatever Liverpool paid. That's more than Suarez cost even with inflation.

However, he's not. £8m is a very respectable price for a player that hardly did brilliantly last year (though I maintain there is a lot more to come from him). A goal in the WC is easy to overstate- that's not going to bump the price up much

QPR, really? Well that's another year playing a few games in the Prem before relegation and asking his agent to look elsewhere.

He's ok, but i won't miss him. Players like Lafferty and Grabban seem more up for a fight. This is what we need in this division.

I think QPR will stay up tbh. So much ****e left in the Prem that should have been relegated last year.

If it was true, would he have played today?

I genuinely don't know whether to believe it or not, and Adams denying it doesn't really mean much to me after recent events. I for one really hope we keep him.

Yes good point, if a price was "agreed" surely Fer would have had a "niggle" or not be ready yet to play today etc. Probably a way to go yet though can't imagine Fer turning down the chance to hop back up a tier. I'd imagine they will increase his salary too.

8 Million for him.... I'd take it if we made sure we got another defender and perhaps another CM to replace if we could

Hopefully a decent sell-on clause, might be why he's gone for £8 million.
