Is anyone else on here watching the European Athletic Championships this week? Celebrate that we are top of the medal tables with Mo, our men 1500m runners, Greg Rutherford hopefully and our relay teams adding to that number!! Unlike the waste of space that is England's football team, our athletes do us proud!!

Don't forget Jo Pavey, who won gold in the Women's 10,000 metres at the age of 40, just 10 months after giving birth to her daughter. And Adam Gemili, winning gold in the Men's 200 metres last night at just 20 years old. Fantastic stuff.

Hesketh isn't playing. Sims ans Isted(keeper) and a striker called Barnes seem to be having a good game. Atm it is 4-3 to Chelsea at Chelsea.

    291-5 lead of 143.

On OS, opening games over last 5 seasons. Had a goal scored by Matt Paterson against Millwall in league 1....who? Don't remember him at all. Apparently academy player of the season in 2007/8 and played 17 times for 1st team. Slow decline since then, now at Aldershot but looks like he is on loan to Havant. Shows nothing is certain in life...I bet he thought he was going to make it at one point.

    UFC IS BACK TONIGHT! YAY!

Ryan Bader (17-4) vs. Ovince St. Preux (16-5)
    Light Heavyweight -205lbs

In the main event, the 31-year-old Bader looks to win his third straight and derail the first real light heavyweight prospect we’ve had since Jon Jones. Bader has fought nearly all of the big names in the division with mixed results, but tonight will show whether he’s truly a gatekeeper or maintained force. He last fought two months ago, his tightest turnaround since he’s been in the UFC.

OSP is a holdover from the Strikeforce purchase and has made the most of his opportunity. He’s won five straight and has finishes in all three of his four UFC bouts. The 31-year-old is also coming off a two-month break after finishing Ryan Jimmo in the second round at UFC 174. If he can win tonight, he’ll get another big name next. Bader is a great test for him. OSP HAS to win here.

Gray Maynard (11-3-1-1) vs. Ross Pearson (15-7-0-1)
    Lightweight - 155lbs

Due to an injury to Abel Trujillo, Maynard got elevated to the co-main spot against Pearson, a great test for both guys. Maynard has been part of a very strange past few years. He had the two awesome title fights against Frankie Edgar, the strange boring bout against Clay Guida, and got dusted in his last two by TJ Grant and Nate Diaz. Is his chin gone? Does he still have it? Is this the last dance?

The 29-year-old Brit Pearson is coming off the bizarre split decision “loss” to Diego Sanchez and a no-contest affair with Melvin Guillard, so he’s looking for a win Saturday. Before that, his return to lightweight was successful with wins over now-ex UFC talents in George Sotiropolous and Ryan Couture. Should be a dependable win for Pearson, though Maynard could wrestle through to grind out a win.

Tim Boetsch (17-7) vs. Brad Tavares (12-2)
    Middleweight - 185lbs

Lincolnville, ME, native Boetsch needs a win here as he’s lost three of his last four and had controversial split decisions in his last two wins. He is coming off a first round submission loss to Luke Rockhold, and at 33 years old, he’s closer to the end than the beginning. He fights a tough fella in Tavares, a decision winner in five straight before a decision loss to Yoel Romero put an end to that. I think fans will be booing the action here despite Boestch’s Maine creds. Would love The Barbarian to clean up, but this may be a boring decisionfest for Tavares. If so, he'll be marked for death by someone, there's plenty of killers at 185lbs who would be happy to destroy him for Dana White.

Shawn Jordan (15-6) vs. Jack May (7-1)
    Heavyweight - 265lbs

HEAVYWEIGHT FREAKSHOW FIGHT! Jordan stands eight inches shorter than the 6’8” May, and badly needs a win here after getting crushed in his last two. He’s beaten the lower end of the division, but it’s tough to tell where May sits. His UFC debut was a loss against emerging talent Derrick Lewis. Before that? He won his first seven with six first round T/KOs. Slobberknocker special right here, folks. Jordan is able to grind victories against more gifted opposition, but May will swing for the fences and hope to put him out.

Thiago Tavares (18-5-1) vs. Robbie Peralta (18-4-0-1)
    Featherweight - 145lbs

Tavares hasn't been in action since November, a first round submission win against Justin Salas. Before that, he’s fought sparingly due to a positive drug test and injuries. This marks his debut at featherweight, a good move considering how packed lightweight is. The 28-year-old Peralta has won two straight and four of his six UFC tilts against the middle of the division. Peralta.

    --------------

Pretty good card for a 'B' show. Plus a good women's fight on the undercard with Sarah McMann. Should be a fun show so I recommend people check it out.
