I hope our Norwich friend is kind after the game.

Quite like them though actually - if we have to lose a game don't mind it being against Norwich (rather them than Leeds!)

I would rather have had a spineless 1-0 win though.:emoticon-0101-sadsm

    3 added minutes.

Shot comes in Gomes well saved.

Freekick to Watford. FF shoots high over the bar.

    FINAL SCORE: NORWICH 3-0 WATFORD

Sorry to say the game was spoiled in the second minute! I have not seen it, but if it was an elbow into Redmond's face and the ref saw it, I guess he had no choice!

From the Watford commentary Dave, the Ref did not see it, the lino did. Seems as if replays will show up if he was right, but so far there is considerable doubt about what did happen.

Having a man sent off after 2 mins must have messed up your game plan but from the commentary i think you were fortunate to concede just 3 goals.
We had a very similar situation at Wolves last week when Olsson got sent off .
Good luck with the rest of the season you have some good supporters and Dan and Toby<ok>

This probably sounds weird but I hope it was an elbow, otherwise it is a serious miscarriage of justice! Watford and Norwich have both seen plenty of those in recent years! <grr>

Well I hate to disagree but I would not want any Watford player to be using his elbow in that way. I would much rather have the "serious miscarriage of justice".

I'm not for one second suggesting it was deliberate vic, but I'd feel awful if he was sent off for no good reason!

Of course - but like Vic i'd prefer that to the idea of our player deliberately using an elbow like that

As much as I wanted a win today, I'd rather we had beaten 11 men in a well controlled game!

The lino did NOT see it. He was watching the ball. He reacted to the crowd.

"Hornets defender Joel Ekstrand saw red after just two minutes for a collision with Nathan Redmond."

This seems to be the line that most reports are taking, which doesn't really seem like a sending off offence.

You might well be right. They did say that the ref was not going to give a free kick and that there was some delay before the lino raised his flag.
