We'll have to agree to disagreeon this one chaps. That said, with Cook sitting in the wings and a shed load of others who could play in CM, we'll see what the Hock thinks come Tuesday. Eitherway, it was a fair effort all round today.

Rudy did okay. His passing is awful but breaks up attacks well and does some of the nasty work like chasing down etc. I think they edged us slightly overall but they didn't really test our keeper when we had some decent chances. All in all though a good win and played well compared to last season. Must admit Hockaday set us up perfectly for that game.

Just back from the game/meetup. Wonder what match they were showing on the telly. My own personal view is that we did not try to win. We set ourselves up not to lose & got a lucky goal. Warnock did well, but equally, I think Taylor could do just as good a job, but with a little more pace. I thought Austin did a great job in midfield. He put in some mileage & broke up so many attacks. Murphy was similarly good, but a bit more positive than Austin going forward. I was a little disappointed in Bianchi. Think he was perhaps caught out a bit with the pace of the match, but he'll settle well, I'm sure. Still don't understand why the Duke went off. I also don't understand why Poleon came on. He was next to useless & didn't put in the mileage. He was half-hearted, almost as though he's resigned to always being a sub. Won't be for much longer after that poor performance! I firmly believe that Smith should have come on instead. Finally, Cooper seems to be a bit of a find! Completely different style to Pearce or Wooton - reads the game & anticipates well, allowing him to step forward & pick up the ball rather than waiting & crashing into the opposing player. Very like Alan Hansen in his day.

A very even game a nd we lost a lot of those last year. I don't ra the Austin and he did nothing to change me opinion today. Cook looks a find. Billy was busy all game. Byram was ****e in the first half.

The biggest problem for me was our near permanent knack of turning good attacking options into keep ball along the back four. We don't want hoofball but ffs let's get forward quicker.

    We're piecing together the evidence.

Is it the one on the left or the one on the right?

He picked up a knock and was struggling with it, the camera's showed him limping a bit, didn't look overly serious.

Again cameras, replays and commentators harped on about how both him and Pearce are very left footed, can't see them being paired together too often once the other guys International clearance is through

Austin might have broke up a few plays but he certainly gave away more poor passes than he broke up plays, I believe we were fortunate to win but as Elland pointed out they didn't test our keeper once apart from the disallowed goal. I thought we got better as the game went on, hopefully this will continue to be the case the more they play alongside each other.

Bianchi was the main man for getting the ball forward,he just needs to teach the others to do the same.Thought we played some good football and the fact we will get better is very exciting.

Was a shocking game - Boro were crap and you were even worse - you excited about having 40% possession at home to a **** team?

It's all progress. We were poor last week. We were okay on Tuesday. Today we were much better. Still plenty to do. But at least we're moving in the right direction.

Can't mean us Eire lad - 11 games unbeaten, 4 clean sheets on the bounce, only conceded 2 goals in last 7 games.

    Ollie's Express is a runaway train <cheers>

Bugger me. That was a tough afternoon. Wife told me Scum were away to Swansea and I didn't bother checking. She dragged me to Tesco in Stretford about kicking out time at Old Toilet. I have never seen so many depressed idiots walking out into dual carriageways as though they wanted to end it all. Took a bloody hour to get home (2 miles). Worth it so see so many of their happy faces though. :bandit:

Was a very young Fulham side and looked very good once McCormack came on - well happy with the 3 points - they outplayed us almost as much as we outplayed you last week but the difference was our defense is rock solid and they never looked like scoring in a month of Sundays.

2 goals conceded in last 7 games - WE are the form team, not Boro as we are unbeaten in 11 (which includes Boro 1 Millwall 2) <cheers>
