can we clean up this board abit .. i.e all the sticky threads and locked threads etc

 

What you mean, its all fine at the moment?

I'd say the sticky threads are O.K. We use them a lot and they are good threads to have.

 

intervene away maybe a poll would sort it out but i think theres just too many stickys ... maybe its just me and i need my medication but..

 

chris if theyre being used a lot they'll be up the top anyway

 

Fair point. Maybe the disapproval of the S*n sticky could be made into an announcement but apart from that i'd say it was O.K. Just my opinion though.

 

I think it's useful to have stickys on threads that are ongoing otherwise we'd lose them. If the front page is a bit Lionel perhaps the stickys could be put on a page of their own? I don't even know if that's possible.

 

Alot of users post in the sticky thread and it makes our board look active and it seperates the important threads. Maybe a new sub-forum for those threads or even for certain Liverpool FC threads would be a good idea as we are quite a active board.

General Chat - One section for General LFC chat. One section for teams non-LFC related. (Example, Chelsea appointing Villa-Boas. Manchester United winning Champions league etc. Oh wait..)
Match Day Chat - Updated threads on Live matches. (Liverpool matches only)
Transfers
Youth setup - General talk about the Youth team and set up
Banter - Could include the photoshop thread, Anfield Arms etc. A sub-forum which contains off-topic banter for the Liverpool community


Would make the Liverpool board more welcoming and seem more like a community rather than just another board.

Just an idea

 

I'll ask about a stick sub-forum which could clear them up. With regards to locked threads, they will drop out of the first page as new topics are created. I haven't deleted the locked threads as they have warnings to members of the forums in them

 

dunno if you can do sub forums here but , imo the welcome to the liverpool board and dont buy the sun ,could be merged and locked

The welcome thread is one where people introduce themselves, no use if its locked.

Sub-forums would be neat if we could get them, would really single our board out, but it is unlikely to say the least

I did notice that on the general chat thread everybody seems to be either Mick or EDGE.

 

Quick guide to GC. Mick is Tina, Edge is about 15 people , Huth is a ****, Toby is gay (allegedly), Trev is Nev , StereoTypist is the spelling Police and Edward T butterbuttocks and I am the best fighter on the Internet hope this clears things up for you
