The commentary is well behind live. The 3-1 and the sending off came up on Final Score at least 1 minute before we heard it on Player

Someone ought to ask why the live commentary is not live.

Bugger Morecambe. That's 2 weeks running they have scored late to deprive us of top spot. And they were 2-0 down at home to Newport

I was worried when they equalised and thought we'd have to hang on for a point so phew! 5 goals scored in our first 2 league games with 1 conceded, bloody hell!! <ok>

Gazzers own team. So different listening to the commentaries. I'm not expecting the opponents to score every time we lose the ball now. And I'm hopeful we can score too.

Keeping the ball on the ground instead of last season's hoofball tactics helps, maybe Ainsworth really has learned from last season, only time will tell.

I'm sure he will have learned a lot from his first season Mowgli; and he'll learn a lot more. He seems to have created a new image and relationship with the players. I hope he succeeds. Someone with his passion and commitment deserves success. I fear though that higher league teams might be after him if we do well this year.

yep can confirm that from what it looked like anyway

incidently, Wycombe were superb on Saturday, one of the best performances ive seen in a while but we need to learn to finish... Like those above I did fear when Carlisle scored thye would go on to win, and last years Wycombe probably would have let them

According to the commentators the pitch was narrow. I've not heard that before. I would have thought, having held internationals there, that it as full size. Also shortening the pitch would have made it look wider. Maybe it's been shrunk all round.

Why would he do that I wonder.

The length of a pitch must be between 100 yards (90m) and 130 yards (120m) and the width not less than 50 yards (45m) and not more than 100 yards (90m).

The preferred size for many professional teams' stadiums is 105 by 68 metres (115 yd × 74 yd) with an area of 7,140 square metres (1.76 acres). Old Trafford is this size.

According to the Football Ground Guide Adams Park is (or was) 115 x 75 yards

Amazing that the max size pitch is 2.6 times the size of the minimum size pitch.

the pitch was made shorter all the way around - I wonder if it was a move intended so that the midfield becomes less stretched, which quite often was a problem last season... however now we actually play with wingers it seems a silly move in a way! I remember john Gorman actually made the pitch as wide as it could go deliberately to get the best out of his wingers

On fb, this has been mentioned. Apparently last season we got more points on the smaller pitches, so that could be a reason. Maybe it's because Gaz expects the team to give 100 % and on a large pitch they get knackerd which would explain all the late goals we conceded. It has also been mentioned that the dugouts have been swapped.
