You won't be so keen when Scotland becomes the first vegetarian only country in the world.

I've got a social tenant in one of my houses now. Don't blame me though, I'm not a snob, I'm not going to knock back someone just because they are on benefits - it's a marketplace and whoever bids the most (vs risk of wrecking the place) wins. The Government are paying about 2/3rds of her rent and she gets to live in a nice middle class estate. Her kid is going to a nice local school too where almost all his classmates are not going to come from 'broken' homes (although in this case the woman is pretty decent).

That's why I thought this was a better solution than the old housing schemes, because people on benefits are distributed rather than concentrated in the **** hole estates like I was. Her kid is probably not going to be reliant on benefits when he grows up now, breaking the poverty cycle.

There's obviously an argument that the Government could achieve this too, through owning distributed social houses (rather than a load of Tories buying up stock) which might be fair enough - but I was just pointing out the old system was pretty ****, and it needed breaking up.

Well, you are a wee sweetie x

Mibby you should look up what a wee sweetie means in Central Scotland. (Ignore the definitions about actual sweets and pay attention to the definitions that include "nippy" <laugh>)
