It's ****1ng disgrace that Onouha + Hoillet have been dropped. Bring in old man Rio for our best CB...that's the perfect way to get him sold. Mutch looked like he only had 30 mins in him Vs PAOK- but he's immediately replaced a guy who's in great preseason form, and provided the Wembley assist.

Rio will be given time to adapt cause of who he is but one bad game from Dunne and Hill and Onouha will be biting at the bit to get game time. Competition for places........that's the key Interesting how Traore wasn't good enough to get a game last year and all of a sudden he's a key player in a key position. Also will be interesting to watch our midfield. Joey has to learn to not give the ball away so cheaply and Faurlin will almost certainly need a run of games to get back to speed. I'm still very concerned about his lack of pace but a middle three may help cover it. Austin must continue to improve. It's a huge step up for him. I'm sure he'll be given a run of games to prove himself at this level but it's a big ask.
I understand your sentiment but think of Hoilet coming on with 25 mins to go with fresh legs and in form.
Think if we go with two upfront then it will be difficult for Hoilett to get in the starting eleven. Away from home he may go with one upfront and one behind in the hole. Hoilett IMO can play there.
If that's what he was doing then its bloody stupid. Preseason is supposed to get your current team into shape. Its not for players who're on their way out! He played O'Neill for one or two games too even though he knew he was letting him go. There's something wrong with that bloke
