I'm withholding judgement. Remember Norwich.

I think they'll do okay. Hughes is better than people give him credit for, his career has been waylaid by poor choices (leaving Fulham after 11 months, taking the QPR job).

City became a job too big for him, his Blackburn side were nightmare opponents, they performed well and had lots of good individual talents.

Just seen that, that's a shame. I agree they've had a good window and see them as top half finishers.

OK, I assume I'm late to this and you've all seen it. But how late..? :)

Whilst it can't beat the version attributed to my own beautiful Honda VFR motorcycle, it's not bad at all.

I posted a link on the Morgans Manor thread on 08/07/14 Message 640 at 9:16 pm, I guess no one clicked on the link as there was no response whatsoever!

I read the Pompey board yesterday. Can't work out whether we are supposed to be spending nothing or wasting all our cash? They really need to get their story straight.

Crikey. I had forgotten all about them. What are they up to these days? I thought they had gone out of business as you never hear anything about them anymore.

There are reports in Italy that Lazio midfielder Alvaro Gonzalez is on the verge of leaving the Serie A side for the Premier League. The 29 year old has been linked with a move to Southampton in the past week as they look to strengthen the squad for next season.
La Repubblica have claimed that Lazio want to bring in players before the season starts but they need to offload some squad members before they can do this. They have already targeted Partizan Belgrade defender Vojislav Stanković and it is likely that Gonzalez will be one of those players to move on so that the Serbian international can join the Italian club.
The Italian media are claiming that the Uruguayan will now be heading to the Premier League and with Southampton strongly being linked with him his next destination could to be the South Coast. Gonzalez didn’t train on Wednesday with Lazio fuelling speculation he is on his way out of the club.
Only last week The Daily Echo reported that Southampton had joined the race to sign the Uruguay international. The revealed that the Premier League side with a number of other clubs were weighing up whether to sign the player who played in all four of Uruguay’s matches during the World Cup this summer. Gonzalez comes with a plenty of experience after representing his country 47 times since making his debut in 2006. He has played in Serie A for Lazio for the past four seasons.
