One thing is where a team should finish on merit, and there's another on where it finishes due to "errors" by officials etc. Will the Fergie factor now be back at OT? Always worth a few points, sometimes quite a few.
Can I ask on what basis Everton would finish above us unless you're basing it on a gut feeling? They've a smaller squad, their first team is worse (not much mind), Europa games, manager isn't any better...?
They haven't lost a key component of last season's squad without (at the time of writing, anyway) replacing them.
I don't think that they will, but you'll be prioritising Europe this season and they won't be. You've also lost your best player and failed to bring in a like-for-like replacement so far and they've got their usual group of promising youngsters, who might benefit from the Europa. They might also be able to dump Tony Hibbert in the wilds of Eastern Europe, if they get the right draw. Someone's edited his Wikipedia page to include the following: Prior to the 2014-15 season, Everton fans unsuccessfully petitioned to erect a wicker man named 'The Statue of Hibberty' in Hibbert's honour. The effigy would have been set alight with a sacrifice of goats and schoolchildren inside; however the proposal was quickly vetoed by the local council, citing health and safety concerns and potential environment issues for the surrounding area. 1st City 2nd Chelsea 3rd Man Utd 4th Arsenal 5th Tottenham 6th Liverpool 7th Everton Relegated Villa Palace Burnley Fa cup Chelsea League cup Everton CL Bayern Munich Europa Benfica Suprise team West Ham will surprise everyone by switching codes to Rugby Top scorer Aguero
Fair enough. Don't think you can replace a player like Suarez - so far we haven't tried to. Squad is much stronger but obviously at the expense of having his genuinely world class talent. Bit like when you sold Bale, although we have more match winners to step up. Expect we'll sign another striker in the next weeks.. Predictions could vary based on how ambitious we are.

Haha, yeah just got them the wrong way around. Easy mistake to make. At least I got Everton right, lost in midtable again.

He must read ESPN. They had a list of top clubs' transfer wish list, and included Liverpool and not us in the list of five teams. Reading last year's final standings must be very hard. Of course, Americans' reading skills are famously iffy. My fearless forecast for last year: Chelsea City Goons Man U Spurs everybody else
