They've just made them captain and vice-captain too.

If Reus does go to Atletico, then I would think it could only be for the money. And I don't know how much they have. Anyone else know?

West Ham have signed striker Diafra Sakho from French side FC Metz for an undisclosed fee.

Athletico are Spanish champions and got to the CL final.

Athletico are very easily comparable to us in terms of level of players and an ambitious young manager.

I see Reus going to Athletico as the same idea as him coming to us.

I meant rather than stay at Dortmund. I would see Dortmund as being in about the same position as Atletico, and as he's from Dortmund and is vice-captain, I see little reason for now for him to choose Atletico instead.

We're not at that level yet, though last season saw us catch up a lot. The question is, can we repeat that or improve this season?

Ilori one is most disappointing, though his chances are slim if Agger and Toure are staying

 

If the clubs are right, good deal. By that I mean Premier League level (here or abroad). At the current stage of their careers going down a level would be pointless if they want futures at Liverpool.

I see this year as make or break for Robinson, Texeira and Coates.

Ilori has a big future, he just needs to gain some more experience and further refine his game.

I fear injuries may stop Texeira's time at Liverpool, even if he performs well.


Bordeaux have been linked to Ilori. The French league could be good. Very similar in style to English, with some world class players, but not quite as intense. Could be a good step up to EPL. More should go to France.

 

So that would leave us with Lovren, Sakho, Skrtel, Agger and Toure for CB options. Four of those would expect to be first pick...

 

i can see agger and toure used in cup games, and the other 3 for cl and league games mainly, so all will get game time.

obviously injuries will effect that theory lol, but how i see it at the moment.
