The Canaries host the Hornets fo their first home league match of 2014-15. Returning to Carrow Road after a defeat at newly promoted Woverhampton Wanderers, they did not play in the midweek cup games, Norwich City will be looking to gain a point or three. History

Watford have visited Norwich 45 times for league games, with the locals winning 25 matches and the other 20 split equally between draws and away wins. The last encounter was a 2:3 win for the visitors on the opening weekend of the 2011-12 season and they have managed four wins in the last six visits to Norfolk. In 1983-4 Norwich City did manage the highest win in an encounter, by 6:1.

The locals have lost seven of their last eight matches with a draw being the only positive point. Their last win was in March when they beat Sunderland.

To compare last season's gaol scoring would be unfair as Norwich managed 28 against Watford's 74. The major fact was Watford were not in the Premier League.

This is my one "home" game of the season. I live about one and a half miles from the ground. Walk one to the pub and then a nice stroll to the ground. I should say the only time I ever go to Carrow Road is when we play there. I seem to remember one Troy Deeney made his hornet debut here. Really hope it will not be his last for us.

 

We've done quite well at Norwich in the past but a draw would be a decent result.

Win would be excellent!

 

Norwich will be without Gary Hooper & Jonny Howson. I've no idea who Jonny Howson is, but am glad Hooper is out...

Hopefully, Watford can win, I can't see why not really. Norwich had trouble scoring last season and we are strong going forward.
