No you weren't right, the squad underperformed as a unit, it wasn't a direct relation to the Saints players not performing. You flag the Italy game, when not a single Southampton player started. England v Italy - 0 Saints start, Lalland late sub. England v Uruguay - 0 Saints players, Lallana & Lambert late subs England v Costa Rica - 2 Saints players, undefeated. So, you know absolutely **** all and were not right on anyones terms.
England didn't exactly get 'murdered' by anybody! We were poor but they were tight games from what I can remember. Given the rub of the green we might have won all 3 games! Not that we would have deserved to mind! I think a draw in all three games would have been fair results!

We were one game from Europe Last year dimwit, we're one game in one competition from Europe and 45 minutes from Europe in a different competition. So we challenged for Europe twice last season.
