Liverpool need to figure out how they're going to make it work up top. I have a feeling they're going to struggle for a while.
I think coutihno, Sterling and sturridge will start as a three, which isn't too much different from the start of last season when they were banging in goals without Suarez. I think Liverpool will struggle to get top four - but only because they struggle against the big clubs, not against teams below them
It would be *really* quite helpful for us should Sturridge get a little injury prior to this game. Just that would keep him out for the weekend or something.
Team to start at anfield Forster Clyne fonte maya bertrand Wanyama Taider jwp Tadic long Pelle Maybe start boruc actually give him a chance to prove himself. Gardos to start if possible.
With Gardos coming back from a slight injury, my team would be something like this: Forster Clyne Fonte Yoshida Bertrand Wanyama Davis Ward-Prowse Tadic Pelle Long Bench: Boruc, Ramirez, Hooiveld, Taider, Cork, Schneiderlin, Targett.
My team would be ..... -----------------Forster------------------ -Clyne-----Fonte---Yoshida---Bertrand- ---------------Wanyama----------------- -----------Taider-----Davis-------------- ---Tadic-------------------------Long---- ------------------Pelle-------------------- Bench: Boruc, Hooiveld, JWP, Cork, Mayuka, Ramirez, Isgrove. Though RK will play JWP for Taider
Still think we need one or two more. Looking at these formations we are Gardos and Morgan away from being full strength, and it doesn't look particularly inspiring. Still, hopefully Tadic, Pelle and Long can hit it off and perform.
Pretty much that. Our team for Sunday is pretty easy to predict I think. Probably same one that lined up against Dortmund last week with Flanno, Markovic & Lallana on the side lines. Mig Manquillo Skrtel Lovren Johnson Allen Gerrard Henderson Sterling Sturridge Coutinho Coutinho wont stay wide very often though.
With Johnson at left back I think we can get some Joy down the Liverpool left. Clyne and Tadic have been our biggest threat going forward in pre-season
If Morgan is fit and has been training this week then he must play or we must sell him, makes no sense to have one of the best CMs in the country inactive. Use him or cash in are the only options IMO, letting him rot out of spite is bad management and bad business.
Sterling, sturridge, & coutinho. It's how we've always lined up when Suarez was out last year (we won the first 3 games last season without Suarez, and numerous other times)
Even if we wanted to sell Morgan, most of the reported offer values for him have been too low. If no one wants to pay then he stays. If he has been training this week and has his head back then the bench is probably the right place for him.
Yay just got my ticket, buzzing. First prem game since Man U put us down and that twat Keane came over the Northam end pointing his thumb down. Very excited, hope I dont get too confused with who to cheer considering there'll probably be the same amount of our players from last year on each side!!
