All joking aside I would welcome this. Very skilful player with a lot to prove. He was rumoured to have agreed terms with three London clubs a few weeks ago at very reasonable wages. Us, Palace and West Ham. I have a feeling the disagreement with Pulis and the palace chairman was over whether to take him back or not.
May be able to do the Taarabt role?!!!.......................with some coaching from Glen not HR or Bond Joevie......... (I just made that up and quite pleased with myself!!)
Same level as Townsend in my opinion. Could have the same impact. It's a yes from me. Hopefully with an option to buy at the end of the loan.
That has been said in the daily express: http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/499407/Pulis-holds-emergency-talks-with-Crystal-Palace-chairman-Parish-over-Zaha-return
Remind me of Townsend's impact mate. As far as I can remember he had one very good game against Sunderland, ran around a lot, little end product and we ended up relegated after a string of spineless performances from the team. He was far from the worst offender, but a long way from a saviour. Sorry to be so cynical, I am gearing up for tomorrow and am not seeing much to be excited about.
Looking at his stats he isn't a goalscorer: 2010–2013_____Crystal Palace___110___(12) 2013–_________Manchester United__2___(0) 2013 → Crystal Palace (loan)_______16___(1) 2014 → Cardiff City (loan)_________10___(0) But I have seen him play a couple of times and he does have flair, which as DT says we do lack. But there are question marks over him for me, but perhaps now he wants to finally prove his worth?
Another one of the 'Baby Bentley Brigade'. Heard quite a few stories of him at Palace and he's another with the big attitude long before he's the finished article. I hope whoever is advising him has told him he'll get nowhere without working hard at his game, if Harry can't get him right he'll go the same way as Morrison...
Came up from the academy where he had been since he was about 12. Voted player of the year 2 years in a row. Was given a dream move on massive wages. Who wouldn't move for that? Would like to see him fulfil his potential. Very skilful player.
Zaha is an example in how over priced and over rated English players are. He got half the goals and half the assists that Adel got in the Championship and leaves for £15m and done nothing since. And we’ve got melts following our club wanting the club to rip Milan’s hands off for £3m?!
I'm not sure really. This would definitely be the kind of signing we made 2 years ago wouldn't it- someone with a bigger 'name' than their performances have justified(Fabio). That said, there'd be no question about his application with Rio around. Zaha would want to impress him. Plus we've got our secret weapon Steve Black, who could hopefully keep his head straight. Not to mention the collective experience of Harry/Hoddle. I wonder if he'd benefit from having a whole season at QPR, as opposed to just the portion he had at Cardiff. Mutch + Caulker will know him- and hopefully given the staff character assessments. Zaha could definitely make an impact from the bench...and I would undoubtedly be excited if we loaned him. But I was when Granero came too
For fukk's sake, have you ever made one single post without referring to that tubby little twit? I'd look at it the other way and say why, compared to all the players that play great in the Championship but do nowt in the PL, do you think Taarabt is any better? Every single year you have at least two or three players that tear up the English second tier but despite our boy not being able to do diddly squat in two and a half years in the Premiership, you still think he should be rated above all the rest of also-rans. Zaha is probably overrated. But by that rational then so is Tarratubby. You can't have it both ways Damage mate.
Because Zaha's a United player and Rio was their legendary captain for years- you'd assume he looks up to him. I wouldn't be surprised if Rio's presence is part of the reason they're considering letting Zaha come to us- because they know he'll be a good influence. In fact it's fairly likely the management staff at Utd would still give rio a call to get the inside info on Zaha's attitude/progress.
I get where you are coming from but he has already had the opportunity to impress Rio and co at Old Trafford and failed spectacularly.
Fair point. Maybe Zaha's just a rotten egg through and through, I don't really know enough about him to say. We've still got a decent cocktail of Rio/Black/Arry/Hoddle to potentially squeeze a few performances out of him though. Even the likes of Joey/Clint could be a great influence. I'm undecided on the loan, but there are reasons it might work!
