It transpires that Charie boys take from the public purse last year was up 18% up to nearly 4.5m smackeroos. A lot of money if you consider the very people who educate our children are being forced to strike for decent pension arrangments. We are constantly told that the Royals more than pay their way due to tourism but that wee myth is shown up when you consider that France is the most visited country in the world and they lopped their Royals heads off centuries ago. Anyone else get pissed off when you see stories like this about them freeloaders?

That lends creedance to the argument yesterday about the Royal Family being a burden on the taxpayer

Isn't it great when people take just one point out of an article to prove their own beliefs; even when they get it completely wrong as the OP has here, yet they leave other just as pertinent things alone?

Things like the 18% increase directly from the government taking the amount he received to £1.96m, NOT £4.5m as the OP states.
Missing out things like how his tax bill increased by 26% from £3.48m to £4.39m
I guess the £123m raised for charity means nothing either...
Nor will the fact that he seems to be the only person with any influence who's actively tackling the issue of sustainability with about half of his households energy now coming from renewable sources.

These things just don't matter though, when you have your own agenda to put forwards.

    You are joking, right?

I see you are a fan of Chuck. Who raised the £123m for charity? Are we supposed to feel sorry for someone who got taxed more on money he recieved from, erm, taxpayers? The guy and his whole family are freeloaders. 300K on a chartered flight for him and his hangers on to the far east. Yes, one return flight. Value for money.

Rational argument like this is anathema to ciaran. Him and his ilk don't like facts.

No only does he not like the truth, he lied outright in his first post, then when I corrected him he didn't admit he was wrong, he just had a go at me for not sharing his views, I guess hatred of something/someone (what/whoever it is) really is blind to truth.

Another anti British rant from a nationalist Irish(wo)man?

If we'd had listened to you in WW2, we'd all be speaking German FFS!!

The yanks couldn't have won it on their own. One of the main reasons Germany lost the war was going into Russia in the winter.

Your quoted figures were wrong, you used the 18% increase in government payments alongside a figure of "nearly 4.5m smackeroos", when that figure was the amount of tax he paid back to the exchequer, which was an increase of 26%, so in reality he made the state around an extra £600,000.
I did not say you hated anyone either, I just despaired at people like you who use BS figures just to siuit their/your own agendas, so please don't claim I've made anything up, when all I've done is prove you're wrong, something you still haven't admitted to either.
