Did we miss him last season ,? discounting the injuries we had at the time as a player I'd say no imo

Hell of shot .... 30 games for us 0 goals.

Ki is the cheap option to come in instead of JdG.

How good is Ki? Doggy doos for us and the only tentative interest in him has come from Villa ... £1.5 mn.

Ki is Ki and we've seen what he can and can't do.

One reason he was shipped out was he went against club instructions when he was 'injured'.

Played very well for Sunderland last year. Was their best player for many games under Poyet.

Don't get why you're trying to make a point to me. It's my personal opinion of how I feel about him & my remark about his 'shot', was when he was with Celtic, as I saw them for myself. Through my work I've seen a bit of Scottish football over the years...

I'm not bothered about JDG coming back at all too...

I'd disagree there , at the start of his loan they were raving about him but whether he can't be bothered because either he was left out /injured and didn't really make the impact Sunderland was hoping for .

You mean the time he was played out of position and even at centre back for a time. I suggest you check out some of his goals for Celtic. But as others have said he's more likely to play centrally for us.

Yet didn't turn up at the end of the season (again) which was when Sunderland went on their points collection bonanza.

Let's face it, the only reason some Swans fans eulogise over a player who was truly awful for us, in his first year, is because they can twist his weaknesses into yet another anti Laudrup rant.

MOM a few times for sunderland that the fans raved about him and wanted the club to buy him. He had an injury towards the end but that has not stopped poyet from wanting him...Im glad we have persuaded him he is an asset for us and Laudrup as usual was wrong to force him out on loan..<ok>

More to the point why does Bob give those stats for a player we play deep, but 22 games 0 goals for attacking midfielder Pozuelo not have a bearing on his usefulness to us?

We will see the real Ki this season and the reason he is highly thought of and why we paid £6m for him from celtic...

    Random!

Who is talking about Pozuelo in this context? His nearest equivalent was JdG who was equal second top scorer .. but had I mentioned him some one would have accused me being anti-monk or pro- Laudrup or a Cardiff fan.

my points are these ... Ki is not and was never as good as some are making out.
MoM in some of those Sunderland games is pretty meaningless.
Sunderland picked up points when he didn't play.
He wondered off from Swansea when told not to.
He has missed the end of 2 of the last 3 seasons.
he would have come back because of injury problems in January but someone had written a ridiculous contract date into the loan agreement.
in the pre-season games he has played since coming back he has gone missing and played just as I remember from his first season.
If he was so good for Sunderland why haven't they made a bid and why has the only bid (amount suggested from Villa) been just £1.5 mn?

Shelvey was played deep, Leon even deeper.

The reason for the stats is because they are his stats.

But my stats had no place last week in the Poz debate? Let's play by the same rules, either you accept Poz was a complete and utter disaster and yet another one of Laudrups dire signings or retract your grounds against Ki.

Go and ask the Sunderland lot what they think f him. They were drooling over his performances before he got injured.

    That's what happened.

Laudrup on the record saying he wanted Ki back.

'retract your grounds against Ki', Ah, sweet, man love at its best.

    The op was

'Michael Laudrup snub has made Ki Sung-Yeung more determined than ever to be a Swansea City hit

That's the headline of the interview with Ki, and he seems really fired up for this season, some interesting statements by him, and it's on the Wales online site!....................'

i.e. nothing to do with Pozuelo who played a different position but Ki and JdG equatable. Personally I wasn't much of a fan of JdG but playing in the same position as Ki I believe and the sats show de Guzman did a better job than Ki ... that is my opinion based on games watched (not TV) and after looking at the information.
So, if you want some sort of hissy fit over Kisy, knock yourself out.
