Just reading his shot conversion rate from play of 13.46% last season was better than players such as Lambert, Bony, Benteke, Borini, Carroll and Giroud amongst others
Yeah, we've only let half the club go and replaced them with averageness. Why would I possibly be disappointed
That's true. With one of Europes best assist providers on one side and another decent winger he could yet be a great buy. Was west broms best player before he was hulls, and readings before that. Give the guy a chance, he's never had stellar service and could shine here. Lambert was the same age when he came. Cheer up people ffs
Some wag on the Hull board (stolen from Paddy Power?) "....it has confirmed that Shane Long has agreed personal terms with Southampton FC and will complete his transfer to Liverpool on Friday".
Hope you're right and he proves me wrong. I will always back anyone in a shirt 100%. But for the kind of money we have spent I am certain we could have brought in better than Long. We will see though
Lukaku was there during their best season so I'm going to go ahead and say he does count. Other than that, Claudio Yacob, Youssouf Mulumbu, James Morrison, Jonas Olsson and Ben Foster have all definitely been better/more important for them than Long. Sessegnon recently, too.
