I have a sandal on one foot and a steel-capped boot on the other. You don't know where I'm gonna come from right now.
Think we're paying too much for him but it will be good to support Shane now for club and country, a player who will always give his all

Well, at least its unlikely that anybody is going to come in for him and snatch him from us because he's going to be a huge success! Here's hoping that he can get some goals and he might, at least, unlock some defences with his pace to allow others to score some goals...
Welcome Saint Shane, although I'd have preferred a younger player with potential, this is a solid, no risk signing and probably a direct result of that we were burned by the Osvaldo fiasco.
He'll be a great signing. Hard worker and decent man; we'll miss his effort and commitment to the cause.
A good player, nice addition to the team. Tough we did pay over the top, the price is a bit steep. It's as if we just had to buy him, no matter the price. Les Reed:' We would like to buy Shane Long' Hull guy: 'We don't want to sell him.' Les Reed: 'We have cash, lots of it' Hull guy: 'Sorry, we've just bought him and he's important part of our team' Les Reed: 'We need Shane Long, give it to us!!!!! Here's 12M!!!! Hull guy: 'Ok, done. You're crazy.'
Welcome, Shane. I look forward to all twelve of your goals and five-hundred offsides before we farm you out on loan to West Ham in eighteen months.
More like; 'Hi, we are the mighty Southampton, we have come to take your most important player, here's a lot of money so you don't make a fuss.'
I think he's worth 10m personally and given how desperate we are for a solid striker in his mould I'm happy with the 12m as lob as wages match the rest of the squad. This puts me in the minority but I like the player, and he seems a good egg for a change. However if welbeck is 14m and goes to hull I may revise this opinion.
Mighty we ain't. We're like a particularly dim 8 year-old boy (think Ralph Wiggum) who has found a £50 note on the ground and wandered into a fairground. That £50 could go a long way for an 8 year-old boy, but you just know he's going to get swindled out of the whole lot for one measly ice cream.
Letting lambert go for 4million, and then buying Shane long for ~12. Utterly staggering. If hull get welbeck now I will lose my ****
