All the s**t people give him directly on twitter is f**ing embarrassing. JET needs to knuckle down and sort himself out. I would rather him be in our team than an opponents but he does need to improve, we want to see the JET that we saw at the start of last season. If he can be that player again then everyone's happy. Cotts needs to stick by him, give him a bit of confidence or what ever. Will only benefit BCFC

Bristol City is one of the last chances he'll get at a larger club, and I use the term larger club very loosely when talking about is because ultimately if we're looking over the last few decades we're far from a large club. If JET fails here I can't see any top League 1 teams wanting to go for him without him coming on a free.

As I mentioned in the previous thread, I reckon he'd do a lot better as a midfielder. He can hold up play really well, and if we put him in the middle of the park he'll have to adapt his style of play to distribute instead of waiting.

I don't think he's a lazy player, personally. I just think that he's always been viewed as the big man upfront when in the times I've seen him push back he's actually been quite good.

Starting to wonder if we're best cashing up on him.. He's a great player on his day but those days are slowly becoming non existent.. Attempting to swap agard for JET plus cash seems like a good idea to me..

JET is one of those players who on his day can be brilliant but spends the rest of his time disappearing up his own backside. The problem that the boss has is to determine whether he is worth the obvious effort or send him on his way rather the let him become a distraction. Remember when he appeared at our club his history told us that he would be an on again off again type of player and that he could only play in a certain way that he alone liked.

Not quite sure on this one but in retrospect perhaps he is too much of a distraction and should be moved on.

    I'd like Jet to stay.
We're unlikely to play 3-5-2 in every game, whether it be tactical, injury or suspensions.
Jet would be ideal at the front of a 'diamond' behind Wilbraham and Baldock.

He is so frustrating because he can do something spectacular

I think everyone would like a team to offer a million for him though

No one will take a chance and pay big money for him. His reputation as a Jeckyll and Hyde character and inconsistent performer will be his undoing again because he's been the same for all of his career.

If he gets his head right he could be a valuable squad member but the body language last Saturday gave me no encouragement that he's capable of being that player

On form (or in JETS's case interested) he's fantastic to watch, but I get the feeling he's going to have to get used to being a sub for a bit.

I would rather see Freeman in that role
We need players who can play Championship football in order to attain the Championship. Those players play for 90 minutes, cover and tackle back, have energy and enthusiasm even when playing badly.
We have a reasonable goal threat now, even without him, so lets not allow the JET methodology to seep through the rest of the squad or that will be our promotion hopes up the spout

I might be on my own here, but on a number of occassions, last season, I watched JET and yes he looks "lethargic" and that may appear lazy but I was surprised the number of times he was actually back defending and 15-20 goals a season "looking" lazy will do me.

His body language in the last two games has shown a man not wanting it,so sad this guy has immense talent but blows hot and cold.
i was really hoping on Tuesday, he grabbed the game by the balls, but sadly it never happened.

'so lets not allow the JET methodology' ?????
What - the 'methodology' that gave how many assists and how many goals last season ?
He carried/won us games on his own, without him we could be playing L2.

No, let's keep the Wagstaff 'methodology' - 'energy and enthusiasm' in abundance.
    And create absolutely FA.

Jet will be a great asset this season and we'd be mad to let him go from our squad.
Wilbraham and Baldock made a fantastic start at Sheffield.
However, when different tactics, injury or suspension kick in Jet will be the 'go to' man.
    Aim your fire elsewhere.

    He doesn't look right RP
Not pre-season, not when he arrived against Sheff U, and not against Oxford.
Either he can't handle the pressure of winning a place, or he feels that Cotts has ideas elsewhere and is losing heart.
I still maintain that Freeman is a much better option in that Messi position. More consistent and good for the team.

No doubt Freeman is a great addition and for me a definite starter every game.
I just think Jet's a great option to have - what did GJ say - 'that other club in the bag'.
Off up the Wooden Hills - Night Rickster.

That's what frustrates me with JET, heading it clear it's forward and precise. But how many times do we see further up field it's a backwards header rather than the simple option? He's definitely got it but he forgets to sometimes play it simple, he's always looking for that special moment.

I wouldn't sell him or loan him out, play him on the wing maybe but he's definitely one to keep on his day he's fantastic and hopefully we will see some more of it, he just needs to be reminded to fight for his place.

Freeman is untested with us so not sure whether he is capable of scoring the kind of goals that JET can Love him or hate him, he is capable of turning a game with a flash of brilliance and I think we need that at the club---------- as well as the industry of Waggie!

Scoring a handful of goals from the halfway line is good, but ultimately inconsistent and not so good for the team.
I would rather have a Keegan type player, with skill and industry and a brain to get the rest of the team playing as well. With Baldock and Wilbs in attack we are not going to suffer from a lack of goals, but I want to see us knitting together as a team (I've bought a nice pattern !).
Hollywood goals are all very well but you can't depend on them

To win promotion we will need to be machine-like, and consistently dangerous
